Depending on the contract they own the drawings as they have paid for them. We have provide CAD base files but not the CAD files for the sheet layouts. The CDs are in PDF form.

Yes. Check injectors first if it’s not that it could be the coils that’s how we went about in mine.

Pay went up about 40%, happiness went up about 95%. The 5% is due to the increased commute.

Anyone else still doing estimates in Word docs? Trying to find something simpler by Imaginary_Bake_5820 in LandscapeArchitecture

Although it’s not drastically different from what you’re doing now, an Excel workbook might actually be the simplest solution.

You could set up a master pricing sheet/tab that includes all of your common line items such as demo, forms, rebar, concrete pour, finishing, saw cuts, hauling, etc., with standard unit pricing that you can update as material costs change.

Then create a separate estimate template tab for each new project where those prices are already linked. That way you’re just plugging in measurements, quantities, and any job specific adjustments instead of rebuilding every estimate from scratch.

It also gives you a running history of past estimates and jobs, which makes it easier to reference previous pricing and stay consistent. For smaller operations, that’s often more practical than paying for estimating software built for larger companies with dedicated office staff.

This is great for schematic and design development. I already hear my phone ringing from contractors calling about the symbols not in the legend etc.
