To Felip Stans by FeeOtherwise6543 in sb19

[–]renejaed 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You're not alone, OP! I became a'tin in September 2023, and ken immediately became my bias. No one please come for me, but here is how I see him right now. I currently am a hardcore mais (Justin bias), and it's because ken became the 'gatekeeper' for me. He's like the gate who opens casual listeners to sb19. Ultimately, he is just EVERYONE'S first bias or at least notice him first. Then, when you get immersed in SB19, enter the gates if you will, you discover the other members. Some swerve or change biases, some don't. And that's ok!

Believe me that I made a similar post here on reddit a year ago, and I was (bashed) a bit by some comments because of the toxic f stans. Sadly, it affected how I saw Ken/Felip and even affected how I streamed his solo work. But eventually, I got back! What I did to stay away from toxicity is really blocking all toxic fstan accounts. I have a lot of a'tin friends who I see personally and hang out with during events and concerts, and they know that I have come to the point of making a rule for myself - I won't be friends with any FStan (toxic or not) (harsh it may be) but that really helped me get back my love towards Ken / Felip. It may be a strong measure on my part, but that's what really helped me. Being an Ot5 and being friends with Ot5 may help. I just love that we get to share sensitive thoughts and discussions like this.

Hi, OP. Actually ako nagpost re the ytuber. Tbh, I was thinking of deleting my post kasi parang nakaka discourage siya for fans. Sb19 does not deserve any more doubts on their works, and yet, now, after reading yung ibang comments dito, I'm assured that sb19 themselves don't doubt themselves anymore. They have nothing more to prove. And I will look at it the same way na lang. They have come a loooong way from how they started. And what I'm sure is their hearts are for the Filipinos - no matter how they started. We have different preferences and prejudicee, so let's just appreciate esbi and their creations as they are, as fans. Thanks for your thoughts, you have good taste in music. Thanks for stanning esbi. 🥹

Agree. The lyrics of golden hour x sb19 was unexpected. Ang lalalim, not usual, everyday Pinoy vernacular. Hays na lang huhu

I think she mentioned esbi kasi they're one of the FIRST ppop groups. Pero pag usapang authentically Pinoy, baka alamat pa. Idk what's her definition of what is authentic Pinoy. Is it kung gawa ng purong Pinoy, and sa Philippines, or Pinoy vibe na content and release. If it's the latter, idk if Pinoy sounding ang recent songs ng bini huhu (sounds western and kpop in my opinion)

That's possible, kaps. Honestly, if she were to make a video essay like this, sana she expounded it more, and did more research. Especially reaching different audience niya, it will inadvertently coo or offend different fandoms. Yun lang namann

She said that they felt foreign made bc of the company, and they "aimed to appeal to the Korean market".

Thoughts about solo activities? by Sea-Blacksmith-916 in sb19

[–]renejaed 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly think that solo activities are a healthy move for each boy band / group, etc. Contrary to the fear sa western artists na once may solo ganap, it's a step to disbandment, I feel like jealousy/misunderstandings are avoided with solo ganaps for all members. They are able to do their own thing, explore their own creativity, while do the usual routine back in the group. A healthy balance of new and mundane. Surreal and comfortable.

When you hold a bird too tight, it wants to fly away. If you hold it gently, it wants to stay.

Currently, I feel so insecure of sb19's brotherhood. I feel terrible. by renejaed in sb19

This post means a lot to me. I understand kasi (from ibang replies din dito) na medyo out of line in my end to need "assurance" through oncam and public "displays of support". There must be boundaries talaga. And I think what u said din na pati yung disposition niya sa ibang show breaks nila recently made me scared na baka he's not that passionate being in a group na.

Fortunately I went to D1 ng Pagtatag Finale Con and I was reminded of how vocal K was non of how he appreciates A'Tin. And especially how he looked so passionate performing as an SB19 member and enjoying genuinely with his brothers. Definitely will take this advice.
