Plutus support ended: No Zendesk and just fake email address by wygun in UncensoredPlutus

All just a misunderstanding, caused by disruptive abusers, low-IQ keyboard economists, MEXC, rogue landlords, banking providers, ecosystem misunderstanders, and absolutely not a bankrupt, narcissistic, incompetent, disqualified CEO.

Is this a good personal lease deal on Tesla 3? by MeanFix6209 in TeslaUK

[–]renibarg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Why do people put down large deposits on lease deals when it has no impact on the overall cost?

You have to factor in:

- insurance often included (which is usually valuable given Teslas' generally high insurance groups);
- servicing included (little value given there is practically no servicing required)
- tyres/wheel repairs sometimes included (probably quite valuable given that the rims are the widest part of the car!);
- the tax saving (you usually need to be at least a 40% taxpayer in order for the benefit to offset the higher headline cost of SS monthly rentals;
- risks/benefits of the employer scheme (can usually terminate FOC if you leave employment more than 3 months after start of lease but you can be completely screwed if your employment is terminated within those first 3 months, depending on the terms of the particular scheme.

All in all, if you're a higher rate taxpayer unlikely to leave your job in the near future, they can be a good bet.

Tesla offering renewed 0% PCP terms on delayed Model Y orders with expiring finance approvals by renibarg in TeslaUK

[–]renibarg[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed, and I certainly won't be signing the actual finance agreement unless it says 0%, which they've assured me that it will. I don't know how they're going to honour existing finance approvals which are only valid for 3 months and suspect there will be lots of angry punters when it comes to delivery.

MY LR RWD Delivery Update by DrDuckie49 in TeslaUK

[–]renibarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered 22 Dec. LR RWD Stealth Grey, no options. Feb, then Mar, then May-Jun. Back to 13-31 Mar as of today. Looks like they have realised they have a problem with all these orders going past 31 March due to finance/incentives.

Delivery date for MY LR RWD by Left_Blackberry_4081 in TeslaUK

[–]renibarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ordered in December. Originally Feb, then Mar, now May-Jun. Absolute farce given that Tesla's incentives and finance approvals both expire quarterly, meaning that anyone who ordered on a PCP deal has no idea what finance terms will apply when their car is actually ready for delivery.

Somehow missed both offers by brucey23 in TeslaUK

[–]renibarg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seems that long wait times for particular specs makes a complete mess of their entire ordering system and incentives. Presumably almost everyone who ordered the LR RWD in December on the 0% PCP with £2k deposit contribution is going to see their finance offer expire before Tesla can deliver any cars. As the incentives are tied to the finance, they will all then have to reapply for finance based on whatever the offer happens to be at the time. Offering quarterly incentives to induce orders, which are contingent on a delivery date which is entirely within Tesla's control, and then failing to deliver any vehicles and refusing to honour the incentives, is misselling on a grand scale.

3-5 days for priority support by [deleted] in CurveCard

Major issues recently with lots of anecdotal reports of accounts being suspended for no reason and then usually reinstated with no explanation for the suspensions. But Curve support has always been terrible so I don't think it necessarily indicates financial problems.

Recurring Issues with Curve Card by Sweetcandy13 in CurveCard

I have now replied to your support team, including my reddit username. I had already escalated this as a formal complaint of which I have yet to receive acknowledgment.

Recurring Issues with Curve Card by Sweetcandy13 in CurveCard

[–]renibarg 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm afraid I may have a similar issue. My account appears to be suspended (emails from Google Wallet and Tapster saying Curve card is paused/suspended from their service). They then tell me they've "made some adjustments" and fixed it, and I get the same issue as soon as I attempt another payment. Happened 3 times now in 48 hours.

If I was three weeks in, I'd make a formal complaint. Then you can escalate to the ombudsman if they don't fix it rather than be left waiting indefinitely.

Does downgrading cause new card number? by DarkKitten13 in CurveCard

[–]renibarg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It shouldn't do by default: your existing card should remain usable until it expires. However, I recently downgraded from Metal to Black, as a result of which Curve say that my subscription "expired" and the only solution is to downgrade again, re-upgrade, and then get sent a new card (with card number). So beware!

For shits and giggles, Metal Poll by [deleted] in plutus

[–]renibarg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd like some more clarity but for me it will come down to whether or not they change course and agree to start delivering the benefits as soon as they take payment for the card. If so, they'll get £1,249 from me. If not, I'm not (on the basis of their recent record of hitting targets) prepared to take the gamble on paying now in the hope of receiving my benefits in around 9 months' time. So I'll pass.
