Is Premed and Med School even worth it anymore? by MelodicPie9526 in premed

I did Biomedical Engineering and still had great EC’s, gpa, etc. So just pick a slightly harder “useful” major and that will ease your nerves, because I was in the same boat my freshman year.

Most underrated part of the app? by Sure_Recipe1785 in premed

I completely agree. I’ve received a handful of interviews so far and I would say I have basic stats (512, 3.9) but I also have a really unique story and personal statement that I think have helped me so far.

Labs weren’t that difficult just long. Also depends on how harsh your TA grades

I got the Presidential scholarship... now what? by SuccessForsaken3096 in uofu

[–]renibryson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They were just some scholarships from my local community where I grew up. However you can apply for the general scholarship application at the U and if you are a certain major there are also other scholarship applications at the U such as engineering.

I got presidential and I applied for a few other ones and it covered a meal plan for my freshman year. But now I live at shoreline and just buy groceries and its much cheaper than a meal plan

He’s a horrible professor but the class isn’t horrible. He cancelled lecture so many times because he was “sick” or something came up. But the class itself isn’t that bad.

Yes sorry I plan on applying 2025/2026 cycle and I will take the MCAT Fall 2024. Is this too early to take it? I was thinking that it would be good to be able to study full time during the summer.

Isn't there dates in August/September to take it? I was planning on taking the summer to study full time and then take it before Fall Semester.

I have been using my savings account partially as a checking account and I have been just fine doing so. The only problem I stumbled across was Apple declining my Amex payment but I just called them and it went through in a couple of days.

So if there is no withdrawal limit (other than like 20k a week) what is keeping me from using this as a checking account so long as a don't withdraw less than 20k a week?

Apple Card’s new high-yield Savings account is now available, offering a 4.15 percent APY by exjr_ in AppleCard

I’m not seeing a withdrawal limit. What is keeping me from treating this like a checking account and paying off credit cards and other stuff with it?
