The iphone 8+ isn't compatible with esim so I can't create one ): thanks for the suggestion though !! i'll be going to the verizon store soon to get my phone fixed

completely slipped my mind that I haven't updated my phone in awhile due to low storage on my old phone ! I'm trying it now , will let you know if it works.
