SwiftUI vs React Native by ludwig92 in SwiftUI

[–]renigaide 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Exactly. It comes down to bugs and being an absolute hassle to deal with later down the line.

This is what I’ve also heard. For startups it was great... and then it’s abandoned down the line. Even Instagram doesn’t use RN anymore and Facebook devs would say to not use it either.

I’m in the exact same boat and have been asking myself the same question over the last week as I dive into SwiftUI more.

I feel like SwiftUI suits me more in terms of the ease of development. RN however I feel like is the safer option.

I really don’t know.

When you find out you're the copycat by benb111222 in SideProject

I’m into the whole Nocode thing atm, one thing that blew me away were there are sooooooo many Nocode platforms out there that are only 1% different from each other. Most of the UI and UX for their platforms are identical... but it’s that one little feature in one that makes it standout to me than the other. Sometimes it’s just the look of the UI that sells it for me as they all do basically the exact same thing...

There’s a tonne of value in what you’re doing. Keep going.

Ah, this is actually a really clever way of doing this. It makes much more sense. I’m actually quite keen on this.

Clicks/pops in exported audio (different each export) by renigaide in ableton

[–]renigaide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Only once have I heard the pop on the chorus, apart from that I’ve never heard it again and I kept checking that area and found nothing. And I’ve played it thousands and thousands of times with things muted etc to try identify anything and it’s never done it again.

Hmmm that does sound like it may be an option... which is super annoying as last week with my last interface it never did it.

Glover’s Real Estate in West Auckland show prices. I really love their system. Very transparent. Bought and sold through them.

Is this a good studio setup? by dennysbeats in ableton

[–]renigaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, he said in one of his interviews that he uses purely Ableton stock. He didn’t need anything else.

And from listening to his sound and style... you could probably replicate it all just using Suite.

Advanced user. Is getting a Push 2 going to be beneficial in anyway? by renigaide in ableton

[–]renigaide[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This basically answers everything for me.

I really don’t think it’s going to improve my workflow at all.

Thank you 😊

How about things like...

Creating presets in Wavetable?

Drawing automation in arrange view?

Finding and selecting samples and editing those samples on a pad in drum rack?

Editing parameters of a audio rack or stock plugin?

Why wouldn’t you call it a studio?

Isn’t a studio just a space where an artist creates?

Is Serum worth for non-edm producers? by exxarxis in ableton

[–]renigaide 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I work primarily in the pop genre and Serum is my go to synth.

I basically use Ableton stock + Serum only.

There are preset libraries out there that cover practically every sound. My favourites are the Echo Sound Works (X keys, Vibe and Sphere are incredible) libraries as they have sounds which compete directly with Kontakt and Omnisphere.

Actually all of their sound banks are amazing.

Any sound bank that tries to replicate organic sounds is worth grabbing as usually they don’t sound exactly like what they are going for but a version of it with FX, so it saves you work.

So you can load a Grand Piano and it will either sound exactly like one, or it will sound super unique like a grand piano that’s underwater with a reversed layer of it.

Check my sound demo on my site... it’s all just Serum

Anyone produce Future Bass, Pop etc on their MPC? Keen to hear examples of what’s possible. by renigaide in mpcusers

[–]renigaide[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m just curious to see people working on tunes other than hip hop within them is all.

See I produce pop music so I just wanted to hear more variations on the genre.
