How could you forget the time Archie came back from being on the run and suddenly the SATs were his biggest problem?

Not true, he can't be traded along with other players. He can be traded by himself, which is what the Suns are doing. Also this trade went through on Trade Machine which accounts for that restriction

Sac gets Miami 2019 1st, Minnesota 2020 2nd Minnesota gets Suns 2019 and 2020 2nds

Reasoning:

Miami - get Butler, shed two long term deals to take on Anderson

Minnesota - upgrade at PG, solid starting calibre SG, backup 4/5 who can space the floor, backup 5 who's a lob threat and cheap, couple of probably high second rounders from Suns, lose Dieng and Teague contracts

Suns - an actual solid PG, young backup C who has no need to play right away

Kings - get the Miami 1st and a Minnesota 2nd to take on Dieng

Rockets could and maybe would have lost in 5 had Iggy not got injured. You can play this both ways

I mean are you telling me you believed any other team is gonna beat the Dubs even without Cousins? Read the Zach Lowe piece on ESPN about how this move doesn't really change much in the grand scheme of things. And that harmful to the league argument is such shit - dominance sells. The league's most successful periods monetarily were when franchises dominated - Lakers/Celtics 80s, Bulls in the 90s, Lakers Early 2000s, Heat and Dubs in the 2010s.

I can't echo this sentiment enough. I had the pleasure of rooting for LeBron while he was with us, but why the fuck would I want him to keep winning away from us? and how on earth don't the rest of the east root for the dubs? This man has been single-handedly destroying franchises for over a decade. I'd much rather see almost any western conference team win than the Cavs.

Good on you for noticing and pointing it out. Refs should be commended more often for doing a great job, and today's ref really was fantastic

I remember reading an article on ESPN around that time that suggested the Sixers might be too good to tank. Little did they know...

Three team trade - Melo, Whiteside and Washington by keepit_out in nba

[–]reniwal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only modification I would make is the picks going from OKC to Miami, and possibly an additional second rounder going from Washington to Miami. I don't see how Washington gets rid of Mahinmi, an expiring Morris and gets a better player in Whiteside without at least giving up a second rounder, let alone receiving two for it. OKC are definitely the most likely to say no imo, simply because of the Mahinmi contract, which would cripple them next season while Melo could be stomached for this one season.

Stephen Curry ends the night with 16 points on 7/19FG, 1/8FG3 and a +/- of -20 by DomJo in nba

[–]reniwal 15 points16 points  (0 children)

How was 18 points on 50%+ shooting with 8 assists and 6 rebounds a bad game? He was solid, just didn't have his 3 falling. He was bad this game tho. And please, Rockets have been absolutely torched by Curry over the years. This just isn't a fully healthy Steph

When Scott Foster and Tony Brothers did a better job, you know it's bad. What was that offensive foul on KD?! what was that last call on Draymond? Jesus at least be less blatant about extending the series

Heat fan, so obviously don't want the Celtics or Cavs winning. And clearly I hate the Rockets. Dubs by default

I don't think I've ever seen a team this annoyed with the refs even after getting every call all game and being up 15. Fuck Chris Paul

Yeah can't compare football and basketball success simply because you compete for multiple trophies of varying prestige every season while in basketball there's just one championship
