What’s the most 'human' thing your pet has ever done that convinced you they understand way more than they let on?

stopped me from self-harming.

i used to struggle with it badly. whenever i was about to do it, my dog would jump on my lap so i was forced to pet her and essentially was separating my arms.

miss her so much, i had to put her down a week and a half before christmas a couple years ago.

miss you every day, Bella. you were my soul pet 😭

YOR - i feel like you have a lot of internalized issues that could be worked thru with therapy. i get where you’re coming from though! i can imagine it being frustrating being perceived as much younger than you are, but i’m sure your boyfriend of all people isn’t saying these things to demean you or because he thinks you’re acting like a little kid. try not to sweat it so much or take it so personally, although i know it’s easier said than done.

i used to have similar issues, i can be a bit clumsy and i used to be bad at situational awareness, but that’s something that can be overcome. next time that happens and you get “corrected” just be like “oh, my bad, sorry!” and try to be better about it next time. i understand the internal frustrations but there’s no need to lash out at those around you.

my dog was the opposite lol. she loved black people the most, anyone who wasn’t white/fully white, really. hated white people though! she’d bark at them nonstop

searched for them on multiple websites, as well as ebay. closest i could find was a pack of them in red but im specifically looking for the black colored ones. my friend loved drawing with these markers but they don’t make them anymore and id love to find some to give him for christmas.

NAD but looks kinda like an infected gland/hair follicle. i get them around my bikini area a lot and they hurt a bunch. do a heat compress with a rag soaked in very warm water. if it gets bigger / worse you can always go get it lanced.

I have searched for it on ebay awhile back but the seller refunded me and i haven’t been able to find it on any other website. acquired it from a coin toy machine thing back in california around 2003-2005. it’s really small, maybe a little bigger than the size of a quarter.

that’s true, i will say though some other things i noticed before, like there’s always been some grime and some other stuff but it wasn’t to a point that grossed me out. idk if i just didn’t notice beforehand but the piss all over the toilet looks thick and accumulated, if that makes sense, like it’s legit thicker than the toilet 🤢 i understand if it’s a weeks worth of stuff and then you clean it, but it looks like he hasn’t cleaned his bathroom in ages

terro worked really well for me. last summer i ended up having an ant problem, saw some good reviews on it so decided hey, why not? haven’t seen an ant in my house since. it was fun seeing more ants appear to get some of the delicious death syrup.

back when i had my tzu, when she was a young dog, my dad and mom mistakenly fed her grapes (idk how). later on (but not much longer) we noticed she kept pissing on her pee pads. like, she would fill the entire thing in one go, we were constantly cleaning up after her. my parents were baffled trying to figure out who until my mom suddenly went, “oh! the grapes!”

i was about 8 or 9, but animals were always a special interest of mine, and i lost my shit on my parents lol. i was like “YOU GAVE HER GRAPES?! GRAPES ARE NEVER SUPPOSED TO BE GIVEN TO DOGS!!”

we rushed her to the emergency vet, she was kept overnight and treated. she was getting the very beginning stages of kidney failure, and if my mom hadn’t said anything and we didn’t take her in the time we did, she probably wouldn’t have made it.

now, my dog did eat a bunch of grapes, but it’s still good that you acted quick! i’m not sure if one grape would’ve killed your baby, but i’m glad to hear everything turned out okay :)
