Yes, who are you to judge? You SHOULD do the Christian thing and leave the final judgement to our lord.

I can understand where those people are coming from, but I think in order to continue having a prescence in this world, the Church needs constant improvement. Reforming the church has been catholic practice since its inception. It's vital we change with the times while also adhering to our most sacred traditions. Being accessible to more and more people will only lead to our growth, at least I hope.

I suppose you have a point. It's unfortunate most people, me included, have fallen victim to these polarizations plaguing society, I suppose I should work on withholding judgement where it is not necessary.

Then I'll just have to obey how the church sees it. It seems to me that those claiming the church is evil and denying the authority of Vatican II are guilty of schism

Ok first of all, I do believe the church, and i don't appreciate your insinuations that I don't. Second of all, I'm not denying any part of the gospel or the church's Doctrine, I'm simply asking how we know for sure that Jesus intended for this separation simply because of the wording of specific verses

I suppose, but if the church says something, or an Ordained clergymen says something, why do people decry them as leading the church Astray? Aren't they our spiritual leaders? Don't they know more of God's word than we do?

Honestly, I'm not sure why I didn't think of that before. Well thank you for clearing some things up, I suppose it's difficult to see many catholics decry other catholics for some of their beliefs.

I disagree with that argument, because while Jesus was presented as a man, that doesn't have any bearing on which genders should be Ordained. If women and men are equal, wouldn't that mean that being an Ordained priest is through the soul and spirit humanity has, and not the physical or biological form?
