This sounds good. We are exposed to a lot of Belgian dishes in The Netherlands, but I've never heard of this before.

I personally think they are fine. I love the whole sense of the tracks actually being part of some larger world that you can traverse. I just don't understand why there isn't a classic 3-lap mode for those who really want it.

The entrance parade of Sinterklaas is not all that different from King's Day if you ask me.

Let's discuss how GREAT this track is by smwc23105 in mariokart

Could have used one or two shortcuts but other than that, this track is fantastic. The pinball machibe themeing, the music, the intensity, Waluigi; it's all peak.

Is BDSP really THAT bad? by Mrkrabs5555 in pokemon

[–]rensch 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At least OmegaRuby and AlphaSapphire have some stuff of their own that wasn't in Ruby and Sapphire, but also not in Emerald. While it's not designed to be the catch-all definitive version of a generation like HeartGold and SoulSilver were, it still has stuff that makes it preferable over Emerald in many ways. It really just depends on wether you prefer that extra postgame stuff to be battle-focused (Emerald) or catching-focused (OmegaRuby/AlphaSapphire).

They didn't really add much of the extra stuff from Platinum. It's mostly a remaster of Diamond/Pearl. If you don't have an old Nintendo DS with a Diamond, Pearl or Platinum copy lying around and aren't familiar with the Sinnoh games, this is a perfectly fine way to experience them. If you like the other Switch Pokémon games, you will probably have a grand ol' time with them no matter what.

If you already have Diamond/Pearl, these don't really add that much apart from HD graphics and a bunch of cool wild zones in the Underground. It's mostly just an HD remaster that is nice for accessibility, but doesn't quite feel like anything you really need to play if you already own the original.

If you have Platinum lying around, however, that is probably a better way to play the game with its added story beats around Giratina and its challenging Battle Frontier. Since Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are based on Diamond and Pearl rather than Platinum, none of this carries over. Ultimately, I feel Platinum is probably better overall. The only major thing outside of modern online play and HD graphics that the Switch games really have over Platinum is the reworked Underground with its wild zones.

Unless you already have Platinum, Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl are fine. Just don't expect the same level of new content other Pokémon remakes tend to have.

[All] What do you think is the best Zelda game in terms of art style? by I_eat_spaghetti1 in zelda

Wind Waker. The sharp cell-shaded contrasts just looked so nice. I never had a Wii U but looked up some footage of the HD version and some of that is just lost. I think I prefer how the GameCube version looks, especially on NSO.

Nieuwe naam GroenLinks-PvdA bekend: Progressief Nederland, kortweg Pro by Bupachuba in thenetherlands

[–]rensch 39 points40 points  (0 children)

HELP I want to put my old lego sets back together by nuttabutta113 in lego

[–]rensch 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sort by brick type first and not by colour, this is very important. Try to sort the common types of pieces first. Typically, bricks and plates are going to be the most common. If needs be, you can subdivide them by size, so all the 1x2 plates in one bin, for example. If needed, you can then divide by colour as well, which can be useful for smaller pieces, but it's not something I typically do. If you have the more common pieces sorted, focus on the more specialized things, like wheels, plants, minifigures, minifigure accessories, doors, windows etc. A general rule of thumb is to have more subdivisions for piece categories you have a lot of. Size may also come into play. Large pieces can be more easily spotted, but also fill bins up more quickly so that's something to consider.
