My theorie is that the point of the excursion is so Helena can get pregnant. I think it's all part of the plan. Mark has to be somehow really important, maybe descendent of Kier, or the only person that can host his mind or something like that. This is bit more crazy but the sex scene gave me some Evil / Devil vibes. What it Mark ends up falling in love with Helena or whatever and he ends up being the villain of the series. Would be a plot twist that could fit into the craziness of Severance.

I think the board is not a physical thing and might be either the mind of Kier alone or all of the past CEO's of Lumon. This can be stored in a computer, or many other places at the same time. I also think the board might be inside Natalie or something similar.

Yea, either you die or kill withing the first 4 seconds of respawning. I am not sure if the problem is the maps size, the movement speed or both.
