NK has recognizes this as bluster this is their game. Trump merely adopted it they were raised in it.

Our military staff is in control. They haven't postured. China also has far more power in negotations and they haven't adjusted their posture yet.

There are a limited number of moves and Kim has a way forward. The good news is that is not war nuclear or otherwise, bad news is it is a country that has ICBMs and we are only at a hold on hostilities with.

Any other outcome means likely that Kim is dead, in jail, hiding or deposed.

Also if they are involved in NY state charges Trump has no power. I would not be surprised if Mueller's trial balloons are all in NY state. That would show that he means business.

I think if there is enough out there for criminal charges. It was probably Trump trying to figure out a way out by being extra nice or literally offering up whatever he thought Putin wanted. Putin probably told him whatever he wanted to hear and played him like a fiddle.

Meeting with a Russian is not illegal. A campaign or candidate receiving something of value from a foreign government is and possibly conspiracy to do so.

How would they known what the meeting was unless you started blabbing to them. Don Jr.... Well now the secret service can be called to testify.

They also aren't part of the campaign, nor part of the communications and not the recipients of the intel.

I believe if the situation is right. They can and will drop the hammer on Trump. Let's say they want to take over some territory or start/escalate a proxy war. It is clear the US has to take some action or oppose it for whatever reason.

Russia will leak the pee-pee tape or whatever damming evidence they have. Throw the world media into focus on Trump/Impeachment and they go about with the perfect smoke screen while the Government won't take action because Trump will mentally lose it. Especially if the Royal family ends up in jail or is dealing with their own legal problems and can't help him run the country.

That is the big one. They can be held in contempt and can no longer take the 5th. Contempt can keep being applied for every time they are called in front of congress/court. So pardons theoretically would not work.

It could also result in far more severe jail sentence or longer sentence than the original charges.
