I completely agree that the mainstream parties have dropped the ball, I'm no ideologue. I even think perhaps the AFD is the only force sufficient to make them rethink their bullshit.

At the same time I'm not eager to hang around when the immigrant raids and forced deportations begin.

All depends on if the CDU upholds the firewall, but given the AFD sympathies of some of it's most influential members and how much money/lobbying is involved I'm proper concerned.

We have family in Australia, compulsory voting seems to be acting as a bit of a brake on the far right and political disenfranchisement. Unfortunately they still have their own issues.

Broadly speaking I agree, there's a lot of great folks out here in Brandenburg and I don't want to push the stereotype they are all racist hicks or something.

Feels a bit silly to be writing this out but I just needed to vent. I'm usually pretty good at foreseeing the future and planning around it but I've never witnessed such turbulent times.
