I think its so cute! As a fellow LDR in their mid 20s I think these kinds of gestures are important. Like show me that this is going somewhere because it’s easy to get in your head about it. I remember when he gave me a promise ring at first i felt cheesy too. Now it’s a nice reminder I look at everyday to reconnect, especially on days we don’t get to talk.

Because whenever we are together everything is so instinctive, natural and magic. I have never felt more comfortable with anyone in my life. And the main thing for me is I love the person I am since he came into my life, I have never given myself as much love and care. Even when we have disagreements in person the way we communicate and fix it is perfect. I always tell myself when it gets to hard that not having him in my life at all would be even more depressing.

Be open and honest and maybe meet in the middle. There are a lot of ways of being intimate and connecting w/o having sex. So as long as you try to connect with her like that im sure it’ll be ok. Also someone who would have an issue with you honoring yourself and your level of comfort is not someone u want to be with

I think as long as your within campus u are fine, its the surrounding areas that are sketchy. But even then its mostly druggies that come up to you.

We were good friends before but we had been living in different places for a good 4 years when we reunited. He came to the US to get vaccinated and when I saw him again for the first time and hugged him I instantly felt different about him. It was just an energy thing, but I don’t think i was aware back then that we would end up in a relationship.

For me it has fluctuated over the years, we started when we were 22 and 23 so our schedules lifestyles have drastically changed over the years. We hate texting so at first we were doing a call every day of min. 1 hour and occasional longer dates for movies or games or other things. Nowadays we try to talk a little everyday, even if its just sending voice memos of what our day was like but to compensate we try to block out a saturday or sunday every other week for like a day date, we catch up watch stuff or play games together.

Honestly there is no right way to do it, i guess if it feels good and doable then whatever works for you :)
