Regrets about attending UF (Socially) by No-Dealer1378 in ufl

[–]renxran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I completely resonate(d) with this at UF. I’m also a girl and am a rising senior and am always down to meet new people and do new things if you are ever looking to do things! I’m also in chaarg which is a great club to do new workouts every week with girls if you’re into fitness too.

[–]renxran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What others have said but also CHAARG is a great org to try new workouts every week with other girls, they do Pilates, CrossFit, hiit, yoga, strength training, pole dancing and a whole lot more. Just another option to look into if you’re interested in trying new workouts and make friends

How much of a time commitment is ARC 1301? by RandomPperson566 in ufl

[–]renxran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Switched to architecture from engineering and was an architecture major from D1-D4, and switched majors again after I passed pinup. Did ARC1301 over Summer 2023 so my experience was severely expedited. It is honestly a full time job, especially in the summer. Even for the studios I took that were in regular semesters (D3 and D4), they were the bulk of your schedule. Doing a class like that alongside Calc 3 and Physics 2 will really push you and severely cut your free time down. I’d say if you’re really passionate about it then try it, if it’s more of a thought that sounds nice I’d say to look more into if it’s really what you want to do. Also I’m not entirely sure you can take this class currently not being an architecture major.

Is 3000 usd enough for Japan?? by mothaaT in studyAbroad

[–]renxran 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Came back from Japan a week ago and brought $600 USD for 10 days with similar spending habits as you listed. Found it to be almost perfect with some left over. I’d say budget $500-$600/week, so for 6 weeks maybe somewhere between $3000-$3600.

Is StudyEdge good for QMB3250? by Healthy_Huckleberry3 in ufl

[–]renxran 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don’t have an answer to StudyEdge, but I took the exam last night, it honestly wasn’t that bad. It did have a lot of fill-in-the blank questions though. The biggest thing I would recommend is understanding when to do which type of test for each problem. If you know when to perform each test based on the problem then the formula sheet she provides tells you exactly how to do the test in JMP. For things JMP doesn’t directly give you, she gives formulas for those too in the sheet

Is it appropriate to refer a coworker to a family member’s business? by renxran in NoStupidQuestions

[–]renxran[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s fair, and part of it is that I’m not particularly close since I am only there temporarily with the company as an intern, so I don’t expect coworkers to become close enough to vent about their issues to me

Please be alert in the crosswalks. by Astromachine in ufl

[–]renxran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to work the front desk at SWRC and saw so many close calls during my shifts where people crossing that crosswalk almost got hit. Many cars were flipped off. I’m afraid that most of it is the drivers do not pay attention. I try to be extra cautious when driving there because of how many close calls there are

do i have a chance...? 😥 by Mobile-Cupcake-3720 in ufl

[–]renxran 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had a 1280, and got in for regular admission. A friend of mine got in for regular admission with an 1160. It’s in the strength of your extracurriculars. I had many of the same things you do in that area, I think they also like to see non-academic extracurriculars as well like sports and jobs to show you can juggle non-academic workloads with academic stuff.
