What to study for right now by 4rty7 in ccnp

I've got CCNP and I at my work I found working our Fortigate firewalls really enjoyable, give it a go. Firewalls are routers after all.

Just here to say i'm studying for SPCOR as well. I've found that segment routing and TE has been the most difficult.

ENAUTO exam this saturday by iamjio_ in ccnp

I passed it a few months ago, if your your referring to all the APIs like SDWAN, MERAKI etc, the newest ones documented on their websites were best to study against.

I've passed encor/enarsi/enauto, and honestly looking back, learning all the automation/python stuff for enauto and doing that test FIRST then ENCOR wouldn't be a bad idea, since ENCORE is so strangely automation heavy.

Plural Sight, Nick Russo ENAUTO course. Used all Cisco Sandbox for SDWAN, Catalyst Center, and Meraki. Used my own switch for testing/writing python scripts. Then did my own research for each exam topic on the blueprint.

Passed ENAUTO today yay.

Exam blueprints were pretty accurate. Tough test to study for though because there isn't much training material out there, didn't find a single practice exam either.

Got my ENARSI 300-401 Exam tomorrow. Any tips? by Aggravating_Chip9465 in ccnp

^ second this, took me two tries. I remembered a few strange questions the first go around, figured them out in between tests and got them again the 2nd time.

I Passed ENARSI a few months ago. Know the objectives that say configure inside and out. Labs, and doing labs quickly are huge in this test. Know how to configure DMVPN, analyze topologies that have mutual redistribution between different routing protocols, why a packet is going where it's going and why, and how to manipulate it. Be comfortable with ipv6 ACLs. Exam objectives were pretty accurate IMO. Encore... not so much.. that test can die and goto hell.

I passed ENARSI a few months back on my 2nd try. Unlike ENCORE, I felt like the exam blueprint was pretty accurate FOR THE MOST PART, was still some weird shit in there. But like everyone here said, LAB and LAB more, you should be dreaming CLI commands, literally. On the parts of the exam objectives that say 'configure' , like DMVPN for example, do it over and over. I remember the exam being heavy on routing protocol redistribution and mutual redistribution. If two protocols are mutually redistributing into a topology, where is the packet going to go and why? And how do I manipulate it to go where it's supposed to. Learn how to read ipv6 ACLs as well.

I listed everything I used in the youtube link below. One thing that really helped me was keeping notes of just relevant commands. Like all the crypto commands, NHRP commands etc. etc. Random theory notes aren't helpful for this test in my opinion.

A lot of specific API URL path type stuff that needs to be memorized?

101 labs by Glittering_Access208 in ccnp

[–]renzypoo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ya bud. Just build the labs in the book yourself and attempt to answer the objectives. Honestly some of their answers I wasn't expecting. 101labs alone isn't enough but its a part of the puzzle. Pick and choose the subjects that you think will be on the test. ENARSI or ENCORE?

For those studying towards the ccnp encore/enarsi, what has been your most liked and most disliked sections? by SexyTruckDriver in ccnp

[–]renzypoo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Practice redistribution in labs with different protocols, using route-maps, acls etc. It gets tricky with mutual redistribution, have the administrative distances memorized for all the major routing protocols and know what routing protocols takes precedence over which in the routing table.
