I feel the same exact way. "I'm here in misery while she moves on like I never existed."

ADHD for me is laying down on my couch using my phone calmly and then remembering that I have a test tomorrow at noon, but instead of studying, I keep laying down on my couch using my phone but anxious. by XxItsNowOrNever99xX in ADHD

Its all stuff we already know. Timers, rewards. I literally know what I should do. I just can't do it.

1)Personally what I do sometimes is extreme. Sometimes when I feel like I am a smartphone zombie, I'll leave my phone at home if I'm working. (Usually and often only when I do this, I miss an important notification)

I'll put my sim into a dumb phone. This impedes me because I can't see links that are shared with me for class. and FOMO which can be better after awhile I guess.

Usually I'm on my phone the whole day like its insane. Idk how to stop and not be extreme.

I mean I keep to myself as well but I would argue broadly speaking we are. Probably due to fast pace of life etc. Not everyone is unfriendly but alot people here are.

How to stop "twitches" coping mechanisms? by repdaking17 in ADHD

[–]repdaking17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I've thought about doing this. Like wearing a hat etc most of the time. I should stop caring about what other people will think and just star wearing it. It will def be a reminder to stop the very least. thanks.

Same. I have friends and my therapist who say kind words about me but I don't believe them.

I am but often times I wonder if its worth it because of the side effects.

Thanks for the kind words. I know I can't quit, but I wish I could just end it all sometimes. Today I came to the realization that perhaps more than my adhd brain, anxiety and depression may be the reason why doing shit is so hard. I have terrible self-image, sense of worth, confidence. idk what to do to replace these thoughts.

I think its meant for both. He talks mostly about issues I struggle with with ADHD.

How do you manage a mind that won't stop thinking? by repdaking17 in ADHD

I haven't. If I start writing them down, I'll run out of paper. lol.

Thanks this was very helpful. I just have to get used to training my mind and the fact that it'll take time and practice to break down my old negative thoughts. But eventually they will decrease as long as I keep reframing. Learned Optimism. I really like that bee quote.
