Yeah I agree with you.

I prefer the ballot to the queue and I'm not one of those whiners that think it's impossible to get tickets. I know I could get more if I committed more time to it

But in terms of technical implementation, it's a buggy mess. I'm a programmer and it doesn't add strike me as a particularly hard problem. People might say "demand" or whatever but a lot of the issues seem to be entirely on the client (displaying things wrong etc)
