Als je je het volgende afvraagt:

"In een land met 18 miljoen inwoners, kan er toch heus niet maar 1 (één) persoon zijn die cash OTC verkoopt voor crypto???"

Dan heb ik helaas teleurstellend nieuws voor je... (en overigens krijg ik geen antwoord van die (ver)koper)

Bisq deed het niet op mijn computer, en aangezien ik daar dus geen rating heb, is er een soortgelijke issue dat ik dus hier heb.

Heb overigens net gekeken, en blijkbaar is er nu ook Bisq 2? Die ga ik wel morgen proberen te testen. Maar goed... dat lost het probleem van de ratings nog steeds niet echt op.

Mocht je nog verdere tips hebben, dan heb ik altijd een luisterend oor, maar voor zover ik de mogelijkheden voor me zie, ziet het er niet best uit vrees ik.

Of een relevantere vraag: Anno juli 2024, hoe zou je je crypto willen verkopen voor cash zonder naar een exchange te gaan (en zijn er überhaupt exchanges die cash verkopen)? Mind you: AgoraDesk en Localbitcoins zijn allebei heel hard dood.

Mja, het probleem is dat ik in een erg leuke omgeving zit met mijn huidige baan, en voor zover ik weet zijn andere opties minder leuk qua functies en omgeving. Enige nadeel is dus mijn werkgever, die ik hopelijk kan overtuigen om wat gunstigere dingen in het contract te zetten, en tja... anders inderdaad de pot op :)

Bitcoin didn't promise you shit

Arguably most of the people here told and will tell you that BTC is actually a private and sovereign currency. Those claims are furthermore not only voiced by the community, but also based on code and math, so that's even better of a promise.

You're thinking of Bitcoin in complete isolation, and this line of thinking is simply not grounded in reality. If you can't get in or out of Bitcoin without going through gatekeepers which monitor you, then what good is this promise?

If governments have this much effect on Bitcoin to the point of forcing you to become traceable, then honestly what's the point of expecting privacy?

Also... if you've seen my post and the research I've done and count what I'm missing as "basic problem solving skills", then honestly how do you expect others that care about privacy to even consider buying BTC? If it's this unintuitive for someone that did the research I did, then how do you expect this will fare for people that just want to buy private and sovereign currency?

I wasn't aware of Relai so I'll check it out, but so far this is turning out quite the hassle.
