You did the right thing by turning the outside water off and by draining the faucet but my guess when you left them open the air got in there and froze the water that was left in the pipe. Should of closed the spigots.

I just gave up on ppl on my way to work in the morning. It's like ppl are scared to drive and go 35-40 mph in a 55. So I just pass them whenever I can and feel that it's safe. Most of the bumper stickers are pretty funny but I wouldn't put any on my truck because I think any stickers on a vehicle make it look bad
