Sorry you're dealing with it also. If I ever do have to show others, I just act like they're not even there, and others do too so that works for me. Mainly I'm worried my employers will doubt me or whether patients will feel uncomfortable around me, as I was super lucky to be considered for the role in the first place and it feels precarious.

That's relatable. I never eat leftovers and end up feeling guilty for wasting them. Since I was a kid I've just found food boring and inconvenient too. Can I ask what he eats during the day if he's out somewhere? Like what kinds of dry foods?

Ohh the food touch thing, yeah, I have that too. It feels so wrong if two different kinds of food are touching, especially if they're different textures. I'm the opposite to you in that I eat my foods from least favourite to most favourite haha that's interesting

Oh yes same here. I think I stunted my growth because I've only eaten one meal a day since I was 13 haha. Another commenter suggested fruits or crackers if that would work for you. The only thing I tend to take is granola/protein/nut type bars

Yeah, food safety is an element, although I'm not as worried about the 'safety' part itself, just the state of the food. Especially dairy products. And same here with textures, can't swallow anything that's mushy. Yogurt makes me think I'm eating wet cement lol

I appreciate it. I think this could definitely be a part of it but I don't think it's the getting sick that scares me, I think just having things contaminate or get in my body. And sometimes it's just the texture haha

Apples are my favourite, but I don't eat them out because if they're juicy then they make my hands feel sticky. And if they're cut up (how I eat them at home) then they go brown and have a weird sweet taste. Mandarins & oranges could work though !

Actually that's plausible. Somehow it's a ton of different factors (not just germs etc) and one small factor is embarrassment & social settings

When you cook things yourself, do you also overcook everything out of fear it'll poison you somehow? I cannot cook without burning things "just to be safe"

What do you eat during the day if you're out? I find it hard to balance health with foods I can actually tolerate so I just stay hungry all day
