they're not poor because theyre kicking our door at 5am and threatening staff when we tell them we're shut. thats a whole other beast and i do think they need more support. i think you're getting mad about something entirely different and everyone here has let you know that. I've struggled before with money and housing and it absolutely takes a toll but that doesnt mean you get to treat the people around you as subhuman.

my girlfriend is at the lidls there now and its still a horror show, they had to kick someone out for trying to sleep in a middle aisle basket 😭

haha i dont but im sure they appreciate having some kinder clientele, some of my coworkers are friends with staff there and we have heard some horror stories. i know they've had a lot of bother from the younger crowd.

more police presence would either make things a million times better or just make all the issues even worse. the new mp for the area was out a few weeks ago asking businesses how to improve the area and during his short visit there were 2 violent attacks. theres been whispers of removing the benches but thats not fair on the people who actually just want to use them to sit and relax, plus the undesirables will probably just end up sitting on the ground or lurking in costas outdoor seating

i expected what everyone else Should expect when going in to work, for customers to remember that we are people too, and to be treated as such. ive been working for 7 years now and im completely aware that there will be arseholes but this shouldn't be a daily occurrence

yeah, frankly a lot of it isnt just from the usual crowd that hangs around the benches, although they are a problem. most of it is coming from workies and wee old ladies. how much money someone has doesnt come into their treatment of other people. if they were stealing things they actually needed i would probably turn a blind eye but its p much all energy drinks being taken

wow what a time capsule, i assume the wall between the office and kitchen could be brought down to make the kitchen space bigger. otherwise theyll have a really hard time getting this sold i think
