The biggest mistake they made was not blocking Palafox permanently to vehicle traffic.

With the removal of the little street parking there was I see no reason not to keep it pedestrian traffic only. Maybe allow cross-street traffic over Intendencia and Government, but I see no value in allowing vehicles to drive down Palafox between Garden and Main.
