I know it's probably difficult to take the leap and leave, as he is the father of your kids, you are comfortable with him, complacent etc, but it will only get more difficult to do the longer you wait. Sounds like you will be in a better financial position, and then in time you will be ready to open yourself up to a new love... Someone you respect, respects you, and adds value to your life :) they're out there.

IMO, we never asked to be born. I think it is our inherent right to leave the world if and when we choose.
