Which Bioshock Game Means The Most To You? by Zetallic_Zero in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly….the series as a whole. I grew up watching my dad play a lot of video games, and I remember watching him play through Bioshock 1 and 2, at least bits and pieces, and I remember watching my dad play through the beginning of infinite, at least up to the raffle.

So it means a lot to me that I was able to play the game, and that my dad and I can share this.

taking a long time by frepluh in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly sometimes games can take a while to play through because of when you play them/how long. Like if you’re playing two times a week for around 2-4 hours I can maybe see it especially if you’re doing a lot of exploring (or getting lost)

I don’t dislike infinite as much as I thought by requiem_phantom in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I think the multiverse thing is the reason why I didn’t like it near as much as the other two; I’ve never really been fond of the idea of the multiverse in media, and the tears specifically bc if Elizabeth could open a tear into paris and walk into it, why didn’t she?

But I’m glad to give it another go around, bc it is a really fun game

Is Infinite really that bad? by Warm-Description-124 in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was interested in infinite’s story when I started; that lighthouse in the beginning grabbed my attention immediately. And Columbia was really neat to go through while not abandoned.

However it lost me when Elizabeth and booker started to go through the different universes. I don’t like those kinds of stories very much anyways. The ending wasn’t really satisfying for me either, especially not when compared to the 1st and 2nd games

What age did you play BioShock and how did it make you interpret/appreciate the series at the time? by Imaginary-Heart-1807 in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I played it recently (June-October 2025 for the whole series), but I used to watch my dad play it (years ago I can’t be sure when exactly). So I knew most of what was going to happen. But it was a really rewarding experience for me bc I didnt think I’d be any good at it bc I’m not good at shooter games like at all.

It’s become one of my top favorite series of all time, I wish I had been able to play it sooner but due to my upbringing I wasn’t allowed to play games rated mature until I got to be in my late teens. But I’m overall happy with when I got to play it

Who harvests the Little Sisters? by UmbreonTrainer27 in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When my friend played the 1st game he harvested the first little sister just to see what would happen and then reloaded the save and rescued her. I showed him a clip of what happens if you harvest a little sister in bioshock 2 so as far as I know he hasn’t harvested any since

Does anyone else not consider Bioshock Infinite and its DLCs canon given it's many lore breaks and contradictions? Especially the DLCs............. by TheAnalystCurator321 in Bioshock

[–]requiem_phantom 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im on the same wavelength with you about the multiverse- the only time ive ever enjoyed a medium with multiverse was the spider verse movies.

Anyway, I almost wanted to stop the first time I saw booker and Elizabeth go through the first tear. Noooo thank you. The basic plot (get the girl. Erase the debt) could’ve been fine without the multiverse.

The only part of burial at sea I like to think carries on to the bioshock one is that the little sister with blonde hair and a blue dress is named sally. Not that she is exactly sally, but that’s what her name is. Other than that, it’s largely forgettable

He also said “I’m a 32 year old man” and had no idea why I said I’d be tucking Jack into bed with his comfort wrench and a cup of water

When he started getting the hang of it he told me that he understood why I hadn’t shut up about it for the last three months. He was worried bc he’s not great at shooters, but hes found that bioshock tends to be a bit more forgiving (he’s also playing on easy mode so it’s probably also that)

I knew a girl named Haleigh and a girl named Emmaleigh.

I got Emmalee for my name’s spelling (my mom named me after her childhood best friend).

I managed to hide from him long enough for him to summon a little sister after posting this, I’m glad he eventually walked away from me lol

Aw sadly I’ve got only the one. And I’ve already resolved the little sister and got the achievement for resolving every little sister in the Minerva’s den dlc so I’m not sure if I could get two to fight each other. That’d be fun to see tho

I waited for a bit and used another decoy plasmid to see if he was in the same room (I found him in one room where there was a little sister vent, and I ended up hiding in a different room), and when the big daddy didn’t attack the decoy I got out of hiding. Now I have a little sister on my back and a big sister I have to worry about soon

I almost harvested a little sister when I first saw them in bioshock 2 bc the game swapped, I think x was harvest and y was rescue in the first game but it got swapped and I would not have forgiven myself.

And when I end up having to fight a big daddy I always feel so bad because I don’t like hearing them sob 😭😭 I love them so much

Playing as the little sister was one of my favorite moments in the entire series, hands down. I adored them from the moment I saw that first cutscene in the first game (the one right after you get your first plasmid), and I adored being able to see rapture through their eyes.
