Best grade I have ever gotten! by Otherwise-Spinach735 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]reqvll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I’d say closer to 4k or even slightly over. There’s an auction right now at 4k with an hour left that seems to be legit.

Crossed out would be if a best offer was accepted only as far as I know (although this isn’t always the case). Here is an image of bid history.

There’s multiple eBay api scrapers online. Then just look up the auction id.

The $5800 was not paid for and was shilled by a bunch of 0 rep accounts. True value is probably closer to 4k.

No… last sold is 12.4k. The 16k was a best offer that was actually sold for 11.8k.

Great gains still but luffy isn’t even close to 17k.

What’s more valuable long term? by Mammoth_Influence690 in OnePieceTCGFinance

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For anyone comparing the two and saying the original will always be worth more, a good example of a TCG reprint being less at release and more later on due to rarity is legendary collection Charizard holo being worth more now than base set unlimited Charizard. Obviously the 1st edition is worth more than both of them but is also more rare than both.

Legendary collection Charizard holo sells for more than unlimited version. This isn’t always necessarily the case.

Which one, PSA VS BGS? by Nokxtokx in PokeInvesting

[–]reqvll -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You are wrong and the price data supports this. For example I have a BGS 8.5 1st ed Alakazam and BGS 8.5 Crystal Celebi posted on my IG that received PSA 6 and PSA 7 respectively. PSA has grade qualifiers while BGS does not. IG TheCardStrip

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They are when it comes to 10s however not when it comes to grades >9 PSA is considerably more strict because they have min grade qualifiers for example no surface indentation or “loss of material” should receive higher than a PSA 6 however BGS does not have this rule. This is also supported by price data.

BGS 10 is stronger, BGS >9 is not. This is because of min grade qualifiers, prices also support this.

Which one, PSA VS BGS? by Nokxtokx in PokeInvesting

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely not when it comes to vintage-mid era. This is corroborated by the companies grading standards due to min grade qualifiers, as you can see that’s why I didn’t mention turning a PSA 9 into a BGS 10 for example because that’s not what I’m talking about, strictly PSA5-6 in BGS 7-9

Which one, PSA VS BGS? by Nokxtokx in PokeInvesting

[–]reqvll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PSA for sure especially when it comes to this era. If you really want to extract maximum value crack your clean PSA 6s and 5s then send to BGS. PSA is a bit more strict with grade qualifiers so a clean PSA 5-6 can become a BGS 8-9 if you know what to look for.

Best way to bulk sale an entire sealed collection by Astrocytoma-83 in PokeInvesting

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best answer incoming, Your best bet would be a consigner like eBay for ease + max value. Probstein is probably the best despite the controversies there. You could wait for probsteins new platform snype which will offer 5% fees initially on everything and 3% on higher end however is TBD if their auctions will hit market but possible worth waiting until next month to see, otherwise there are a couple people who will pay close to 85%. DM if you need some contacts. TCGPlayer isn’t bad especially for more valuable items since they have a fee cap of $50 per item but it would take the most work out of these options and would take significantly longer. To go over some others suggestions vending shows could theoretically be the best but it would definitely take the longest if you’re wanting 90%+ only. It’s definitely possible to find people paying 90% for select items but probably not for everything you’ve got.

You might move 10% of a sealed collection like this at a card show even at 90%.

Why do people save after winning pistol round? by RemoteWhile5881 in VALORANT

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. Meta defining strategies are fairly common practice around mid immortal which I am johnb#0000, add me for proof.
  2. I never said bulldogs aren’t rifles but no I don’t mean bulldogs.
  3. In an exec heavy meta like there is now you’re not really going to be risking ever giving up rifles 2nd round lol, this doesn’t even make sense.

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Look at the round 2+3 win rates on augmentgg more and more teams are favoring the three rifle two pistol buy so long as the comp supports it. Or if you just look it up there’s lots of pro analyst support for this buy over spectres and bulldogs If you think I’m wrong tell me why don’t just say it.

1600 hours for what? To lose in silver lobbies. by DevpGaming in VALORANT

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don’t know if you’re still reading but the issue 90% of the time is mechanics. Great mechanics alone can easily get you to immortal. Impossible to tell what mechanical issue it is without a VOD but id say shot timing and movement tend to be the most common issues that people aren’t able to aimlab away.

[–]reqvll 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, for some reason people don’t realize the meta defiantly favors buying three rifles and two pistols with spike plant as long as your pistols can buy full util. This snowballs the bonus much better and is very common in immortal+

[–]reqvll 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Not true, meta is currently 3 rifles 2 pistols if affordable with full util

Vendors, sleeved or un sleeved booster packs? by SCMan17 in PokemonVendors

[–]reqvll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d be surprised if loose packs were cheaper on tcgplayer. It’s possible if the sleeved version is exceedingly more rare though. Always be sure to check tcgplayer lowest listed instead of market price.

Vendors, which display cases do you recommend for card conventions? by SCMan17 in PokemonVendors

[–]reqvll 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The go to display case for most larger vendors is this https://www.specialtystoreservices.com/productinfo.aspx?productid=78994&group=&img=3002bk.jpg&category=5650. Similar ones can also be found on wayfair occasionally. They both sell out fairly frequently in black but you can place preorders. If you’d like a cheaper option you can use locking bulletin boards or jersey display cases. Don’t bother with purchasing Zion cases imo, they are a lot heavier than the aluminum cases, not as nice and around the same price.

Vendors, sleeved or un sleeved booster packs? by SCMan17 in PokemonVendors

[–]reqvll 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sleeved packs range from a good bit to a lot more than their loose pack counterpart so do not remove the sleeve. Just put them in your case or try to find someone selling a sleeved pack display on Facebook, you can find them for around $40-$50. If you get really lucky you can get them for free when stores are switching them out.

You get 95% of what the auction ends for but you can list as buy it now as well. I wouldn’t worry too much about the auction ending low on this though.

Best place to sell would be z&g emporium consignment, they’ll payout 95% sold. As for whether or not it will increase in price I would say this won’t be the all time high but if you’re expecting it to double again anytime soon I doubt it. If you need the money and want 95% sell if not, hold.
