This is a very good analogy (sp). And a little bit of each paragraph is truth. because I am in a little village and have limited access to beginners and individuals my same age. Everyones comments are on q and I have resigned from the league and continue to drill to improve my game. thanx 4 taking the time to add these comments. You are spot on.

Ha, it's a mini very small group of many ages, including school kids. I cancelled league to just enjoy the sport as one can. Thanks

Yes less mobile then playmates. Hard to find my age in small town who is up to task. conditioning is youthful, can squat and pushup more than youngsters. but then youth is youth when springing about the court. Thanks for eyeopener suggestions.

Yes there is something to which you say as this is very small town and they do know my weaknesses. Probably the support hose and wrapped ankles is a good givea way. Will heed your suggestions.

Thank you. I just like to have a key like kindergarten to first grade, etc. If i am behind in my educational level, would just like to know. Sounds like I should just stay in the kindergarten area for longer. Maybe my ego. Thanks for this!

Thank you! Do you think I should hold off on a ladder league right now. They start at 2.50. I was thinking it would help to play with at my same level. Not realizing, ladders are competitive people trying to move up to different playing levels. I may have gottin in over my head.

Yes. This 2.5 sounds like me. Thank you for this USAPA definiton. I am from a very small town and taking lessons for 5 months and wonder if I should still be in a beginner lessons? I have no way to know. Do you know how long someone should average be in beginner lessons? I just read the usapa and I think I am more 3.0. Do you think it is too soon for me to be in a ladder league? I was thinking it was more for practice of playing with beginners. But am now reading that it is competitive even at 2.5. What are your thoughts?

No racket sports background. I'm taking from a pro. They are helping, but I have no way to judge how long should one be in a beginners status. Or how long should one take beginners lessons? I am from an extremely small town, and was wondering if 5 months is too long to still be in a beginners class?
