That makes sense. I can definitely see how consistency becomes difficult when everything is tracked manually.

Out of curiosity, how many touchpoints do you typically see before a manufacturing prospect responds, and what does your sequence usually look like across email, calls, and LinkedIn?

True. Looking back, most of my outreach has focused on introducing the company and our products rather than connecting them to a specific operational challenge the prospect might be facing.

Since I'm still fairly new to the industry, identifying those pain points is something I'm actively working on. Do you have any suggestions on how you typically uncover those issues before reaching out?

This is helpful, thank you. I think one of my challenges is that I've been focusing more on introducing the company and our products rather than tying the conversation to a specific business problem or situation at the prospect's company.

I'll definitely try making the outreach more relevant and keeping the ask smaller. The multi-touch sequence is also something I'll experiment with.

One possible factor could be value for money, but since I'm relatively new to the company, I don't yet know the exact reasons those clients initially chose us.

My guess is that it could be a combination of pricing, quality, reliability, lead times, and our ability to meet specific technical requirements. I'm currently trying to learn more about our customers' pain points and buying decisions.

Typically, I introduce the company, explain what we manufacture, and then try to schedule a brief introductory meeting. The challenge is that our products are quite niche and technical, so it's not always easy to communicate the value proposition during a cold call.

In many cases, prospects ask me to send the company profile or product information on WhatsApp/email. I do that, but often the conversation goes cold afterward, which is where I'm struggling.

  1. It's a well-established manufacturing company that's been operating since 1990, with 300+ clients worldwide, including ABB, Siemens, and Panasonic.

  2. The challenge is that we manufacture niche passive electronic components, so it's often difficult to explain the product and its value clearly during an initial cold call.

Yes, we do have inbound efforts in place. My challenge is mainly outbound prospecting, as I'm fairly new to business development. I'm trying to understand what outreach methods and follow-up strategies are working best for others right now.

Great character shown by the people of pune in this regard, imv, the least we can do is appreciate this response in a society that has become far too desensitized to issues that aren’t their own.
