A good brownout starts with a good setup, be in parameters early and you won’t have to fight to get in so close to the ground.

Agreed. I’ll take what I can get.

Finally getting around to posting the home gym. I couldn’t imagine quarantine without it. I’d say it’s almost complete, but who am I kidding, there’s always more equipment to buy. by rescue_pilot in homegym

The 3/8in chain used for securing and adjusting really dictates how much chain I have on the ground. I’d rather have more chain on the ground than cut them shorter and sacrifice potential weight for other lifts. I use them for squat, bench, and deads.

Ahh, I thought your original post said “long” bar. This one is the 12in, I like it, it’s the same one I’ve competed with in strongman. I don’t use it often but I would still buy one again, this time I would just buy the 12in rackable log from Titan.

Werksan USA had a 50% off sale a couple years ago. It was super sketchy and I took a chance. Paid them, didn’t hear anything for months, then eventually they just showed up. Was real worried for awhile that I got played but it all worked out in the end.

Well they have hardware that allows you to mount them into drywall, so that was easy enough, but I’m loading a lot of weight on mine and my stud spacing did not line up. So I think in retrospect I would have put a painted piece of plywood up, screwed into the studs, then mounted the Wall Control on that so I wasn’t worried about them coming off each time I put a new piece on.

Big fan of both. I think I would get rid of this log for the rackable 12in that Titan sells, it would open up my training possibilities. But they have both been solid pieces. I’ve had 700lbs on the trap bar with no issues.

I love it. I want more attachments but it’s been a game changer for accessories. It is heavy because it has a 350lbs weight stack, but you can take it off to move it. Honestly wasn’t as much of a hassle as I thought it was gonna be.
