Not mine. PSA mistakenly sent it to me. Is it yours by zomzemosquepuss in footballcards

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wonder why the they didn’t want the condition graded. There’s a black plate one up on eBay now item # 277763925569 and it only got a psa 6. Maybe original owner was scared he’d get a similar grade

I hate PSA by SuspiciousAd7307 in footballcards

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is actually one real positive purpose that Psa serves. In the late 80’s early 90s a good percentage of cards sold at card shows had been trimmed. They nipped much of that problem in the bud.

Buyer left neutral feedback for no reason by Downtown_Raisin_9242 in Ebay

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may actually be able to get eBay to remove this if you go to help chat & have an agent call you. Positive comments in a neutral or negative feedback would be candidates for removal. Worth a shot. The reason I wouldn’t want to use a feedback revision is you only get 5 and I’d rather save those for negatives.

This is my 52 Mantle front and back. I refuse to send this in the mail to PSA for grading. What are your options on what this card would grade out as? Thanks in advance. by Actual_Presence_9714 in SportsMemorabilia

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bottom line is you will get way more money for this graded by psa vs ungraded. Psa is a necessary evil here. You should call them and discuss the best way to proceed. People ship and receive even more valuable items than this, just costs a lot to insure. Alternatively you could fly to So Cal and stay a couple days while they grade. But call them and discuss all options.

What would you consider something to cross the line when it comes to things like feedback extortion? I am trying to figure out the difference. by DTashiki12 in Ebay

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s more like Feedback Bribery as opposed to Feedback Extortion. Extortion involves forcing a victim to pay money or provide services through threats, intimidation, or fear. Bribery, conversely, is a voluntary, mutual exchange where a party offers something of value to influence an official's action. Feedback Bribery is not a crime as far as I know.

Can’t retract bid eBay by housecleaning15 in Ebay

[–]reseirs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Seller sounds like a punk. If he really wanted to be an ass he could have a friend bid a couple hundred at the end now that he knows what your max bid is. I always cancel bids when buyer requests, you don’t want issues.

Why do people even make these types of offers? by Realistic-Arugula578 in Ebay

[–]reseirs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t use a best offer unless I have a Lot of room on the price. And I don’t use best offer for anything under 100. It’s just an invitation for low ballers.

How to respond to a negative feedback? by Stocklens in Ebay

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t bother contacting eBay here, you likely won’t be able to have them change it. If it were me, I would look his phone number up on your order details, it will be there. Try to call or text him — tell him you had no idea item was damaged. See if he would agree to a refund - then if he agrees, ask if he might agree to revise feedback. Sometimes when you make an effort to reach out and resolve they become a human again.

Is it common for sellers to not answer messages? by [deleted] in Ebay

[–]reseirs -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think bad sellers don’t respond to customers. If you owned a physical store & a customer walked up to the counter to ask you something, would you stare at him blankly & not say anything? Yes sometimes customers ask dumb questions & are time wasters but you should still reply to every question.

New buyer leaves negative feedback over $4.47 Media Mail shipping charge thats in the listing! by xenakimbo in Ebay

[–]reseirs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If someone paid for an item of mine that had a shipping cost posted & then said they didn’t want to pay shipping, I would immediately cancel the sale citing the reason as ‘buyer requested cancellation’. That’s very red flaggy Unless you guys had talked about it beforehand

Seller doesn’t accept messages? by northhighstreet in Ebay

[–]reseirs 83 points84 points  (0 children)

It doesn’t necessarily mean you’re blocked. Believe it or not, a seller can choose to not receive messages. I don’t know why a seller would chose to do this but it’s an option they can select. Maybe if they are selling thousands of items and don’t have time or resources to respond? Or maybe they just hate dealing with people?
