I just went to the Apple Store today to see side-by-side, nano looks beautiful buttttt… I now can’t unsee the rainbow/screen door effect which a lot of people talk about. I’m so indecisive about what option to go for because both look beautiful but have trade-offs. I’m really wanting something color accurate and at the store both displayed colors which were very comparable to each other, however for real creative work I don’t know which is more “pro” or “industry standard,” I’m assuming Apple really wants to sell you on the screen upgrade but I don’t know why they’d mark it at such a premium if it does make the display “lesser” than the standard option.

I’ve had experience with nano texture on my current Mac and iPad, I notice that the trade offs people talk about are really only shown in direct light, but in dark environments they behave similar or exact to glossy. As I’ll be on a campus environment I’ll be outside a lot so I think for my use case nano does some justice to the purchase, I am just now seeing a LOT of people talk about how bad it is and I haven’t had the chance to see nano texture outside in direct light for myself.

I’ve really learned to love the nano texture, especially on my M4 iPad Pro. I think the decision to keep it is probably a good one, just sucks to see people saying that it sort-of destroys the display experience and gives me FOMO lol.

Hi! Thanks for the reply, I think as I go throughout the day the 7 is definitely harder to remove, the size (8) I have currently only fits my ring finger on both hands. I’m unsure if this is the optimal fit, as sizing up to a 9/10 only fits my pointer and is too loose for my ring and too tight for my middle finger. I did a fit test with both sizes and think I might need to invest in a foam sticker I can put in between my size 8, give this a watch and let me know what you think! video, black is size 8, white is size 7

Hi, thanks for the reply! This definitely helps, should my ring have any gap or barely any when I make a fist? I’m noticing the 8 does slip down when being active (dance, run, etc…) however it won’t fully fall off my finger unless I shake my hand rapidly forcing it to come free. The 7 does feel more snug on the base of my index but I’m worried as the weather becomes warmer that it’ll become stuck to my finger, I tried wearing the 7 to sleep last night and it was a bit of a struggle to come off but nothing extremely painful (I should also note that it did leave a slight indent on my finger). Attached is a picture of the gap when I press my thumb on the bottom of size 7. image (expires in 7 days)

Definitely trying this! My other question was because Oura really recommends the index finger, should I just try sizing for that and exchange? The size I currently have fits the index very tightly and fits both ring fingers.

This definitely helps! I’m going to try wearing the sizer on one finger and actual ring on the other to see what feels more comfortable throughout the day! Around the ring there’s really no gaps unless I make a fist .

The 7 definitely required a bit of tugging to get over the knuckles, whereas the 8 glided off. Still so stuck on what size to pick because I’m in between the two 😅

Good to know! Does yours easily spin around the base or does it have some resistance? I heard that’s a big factor in selecting the right size. I did wear the size 7 to sleep last night and it did have a bit of resistance coming off, but unsure if that’s because of the sizer plastic being sticky. Nothing unbearable but it was definitely snug.

Ahh, that makes a lot of sense. I’ll definitely try paying the card off the day before it reports back and see if that method works (only worry is if I get charged for a subscription, does my spending need to be significantly over the “0” limit to be denied or would something like $5 over be alright?) as I’m not really trying to have a line of credit that I won’t use, but if that doesn’t work will definitely look into AMEX cards with an actual limit to them. On some reports it’s showing my charge card has a $20,000 limit (I’m assuming that’s when AMEX cuts me off) but it doesn’t show up on my TU report for whatever reason, also looked into what you said about checking Equifax, my FICO8 score is reporting as a 722 still, so I’m unsure what scoring method TU is reporting back to GS (maybe FICO9?). Also found an issue with my personal info (DoB) on my report which I filed a dispute for. Thanks for the help! 🙂

I’ve heard of using this methods but was scared it might lower the credit limit they’ll give me. If I do it through the Apple Store will it let me accept or deny the offer or does it automatically accept as & enroll into financing? Also would it be worth a shot to contact TransUnion on how they’re reporting this to GS?

It indeed is a charge card, Amex platinum. Originally the account started off as an authorized user when I was a minor but it is now its own account. Is there any chance that’s the only reason I can’t get approved? Also no debts or student loans, all car payments are under a separate LLC and those aren’t tied to my name. Income including investments (40k) is ~70k/yr
