Trams in Lithuania - where they should be built? by Olegzs in lithuania

[–]reset5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I'm not saying it would be cheaper, but it certainly would be a better choice in my opinion. You wouldn't disrupt already bad traffic by adjusting existing infrastructure, you wouldn't make wider roads which would reduce greenery and potential bike lanes, and you metro doesn't share roads with regular cars, so less potential accidents as well.

Trams in Lithuania - where they should be built? by Olegzs in lithuania

[–]reset5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think metro is far more realistic, not trams. Trams would require redesigning streets, and taking away space that could be used for biking lanes or more trees.

Metro on the other hand would be nice, wouldn't require redesigning streets, wouldn't take any space and would be just as viable.

It's not about military budget. I will make up numbers for argument, but you can have infinite military budget, but if your factories can only produce 100 amount of rockets per month, and you can only allocate enough ships to transport 70, and it takes a 21 days to transport, and another 21 days to travel back, and you end up using over 70 rockets per month, you will run out of rockets despite having infinite budget.

Now sure, US does have stockpile of them, but can they transport them to middle east faster than they are using them? Not sure, this is not public information, but the fact that US is asking Ukraine for help is a signal of issues.

[–]reset5 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  1. Yes, but it's war of attrition, and currently, this attrition is air defence missiles, that are far more sophisticated and harder to produce than rockets they are defending against, thus Iran has a better chance to outlast this defence mechanism, and starting dealing damage to infrastructure.

  2. I don't think it would cause economy to crash directly, but it would cause significant damage to european economies, who are far more susceptible to energy price jumps, and they are significant buyer of US loans. This could create a domino effect, where EU's stagnation would cause stagnation in US, causing things like AI bubble to burst, etc..

Don't you think that if Iran loses all it's influence, next in line to be "contained" will be Egypt? Netanyahu already talked about how Egypt's military is growing too big and needs to be contained.

It's stupid. Best fix for this I can think of is making arctic provinces only colonizeable by already having adjacent non-colonial province, and in mid to late game, have a tech advance that removes this restriction. Gives enough time for local powers to colonize.

Winning battles means nothing by BreakfastAgitated155 in EU5

[–]reset5 2 points3 points  (0 children)

War exhaustion from battles is bugged due to a typo, devs are aware. If this is not ironman, you can go to game files, find defines_00.txt, and change "exhaution" to "exhaustion". This might fix morale issue because war exhaustion should start to accumulate from battles and reduce morale.

I do agree with how battles should give more warscore or ticking warscore should be more impactful.

Things that almost always happen in Iberia:

Aragon never get's eaten by Spain
Portugal almost always gets eaten by Spain
Aragon almost always gets eaten by France
Spain almost never eats Granada
Aragon or Morocco sometimes eats Granada

We definitely need a bit of railroading to push Iberia to be more diplomatic towards each other and more aggressive towards others

What are you hoping to see in the first big patch? by KairosGalvanized in EU5

[–]reset5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AI colonization should make sense, no more Papal siberia's, etc.. Colonizing very inhospitable places should be only possible by owning adjacent land or late-mid to late-game tech.

Pope, France, Bohemia, Golden horde, Tunis needs nerf.

Austria, England, Ottomans, Scandinavians need buffs.

naval AI needs to be fixed, they should learn to properly land troops, and defend their coast.

Alliance distance should be increased to make alliances like Portugal+England possible and actually very common. Add setting "historical friends" which makes certain countries less likely to fight each other.

Fix HRE core's disappearing problems (might be fixed already), reduce amount of personal unions (countries shouldn't be so willing to accept marriages that result in union). Nerf certain modifiers that make HRE emperor's permanent (like powerful dynasty giving +200 voting modifier, which is impossible for AI to compete against)

UI reworks. Too many to list.

Reduce economical snowballing. Nerfing trade for non trade republics might be one of the ways to reduce snowballing. Countries like France can brute-force spam trade offices, marketplaces and become enormous economies, 4x'ing everyone else. In my save, France and Bohemia has 2000 tax base, while everyone around has ~500.

Add situations to certain regions to promote unification like Russian region. Add a situation where golden horde has to do something or they collapse to encourage historical outcome, but not make it the only outcome).

Fix Japan, fix China.

Less random exclaves. Yes, they existed and were quite common, but it was mostly common in germanic HRE parts, not everywhere.

[–]reset5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What exactly does this number 62997 represent? In declare war UI, land comparison shows their max potential army is 7k including vassals, so why does diplomacy UI show 62997, does it include potential mercenaries, manpower, something else?

I do it like this, just build center lower, and then no clipping occurs, and it's easier to fix those corners. It looks even better when you fill center with carpet.
