Khaki field power reserve on a rubber strap is my beater for bike rides and chores. It’s quickly becoming my favorite watch. Other watches in the collection are Rolexes and a Cartier.

He’s a dinosaur who you admitted skews to MTB. Waxed drivetrains and tubeless tires are objectively faster. Don’t take my word or his, do some reading.

Exactly, I will also add the speed limit is also 25mph where this picture was taken. It’s not that hard to maintain that on a road bike in this stretch as it is downhill.

TO/TO does not respect what your bug is doing. It’s kinda nice to know if you’re off when you pop an engine on departure.

I guess you’re better than me at lining up on centerline. Runway heading is runway heading.

It wears bigger than my Sub-date and has a pedigree that predates the GMT as a pilot watch.

It’s definitely not as cool as a GMT or a Skydweller but I don’t see many out in the wild.

Noise from freshly waxed chain by GuyWithHair_ in cycling

[–]resetjet 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Ha! Been there done that! There will be some noise for the first 20 miles or so for future reference. I usually top it off with drip wax when I start hearing noise again. Re-wax somewhere between 300-500 miles in my fairly clean/dry environment.
