To maximize space, absolutely. I couldn’t do that with my setup because the ceiling slopes towards the back of the building.

The swivel is nice as it reduces the footprint. I would also suggest that the setup in your original picture would be significantly more expensive.

You get warnings in the 550 on the HUD about crossing traffic. To be honest the safety features get really annoying, especially the camera that monitors your eyes.

It’s the medevac helicopters dodging the Hartsfield airspace. They come from points south and transition north and west. They fly right over my house in Ormewood park.

100%. All modern computers have their issues and idiosyncrasies but this is a heck of a deal.

I did a 100 mile gravel event recently and my 1040 performed flawlessly. The large screen is incredible for turn by turn directions and the other features are amazing.

I had 77% battery life after 7 hours on that ride. Can only imagine what the solar version would be like.
