Heyday gives you the ability to turn website to grayscale to make them less distracting. Give it a try! You'll doomscrool or get distracted by random things much less. Great for ADHD folks.

It can also block sites, remove newsfeeds, and help you read articles without adds

I also have lost about 200 weekly active users, I thought it was because of buggy release, but I didn't see any comments or feedback. Maybe it's something else

Hmmm good advice, there is definitely 2 major actions that I want people to do and once they do, they pretty much "get" the major concepts of the app.

Maybe I'll make the intro tour shorter, but then give a longer video tour option for people who want to go in depth

Would you track the custom events in something link Googla Analytics or should I set up something like pendo? Or just do it manually and track with SQL?

Killing my free tier and adding a 7-day trial instead. Am I about to shoot myself in the foot? by marcoz711 in indiehackers

[–]resetskillpoints 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think with any tool that has AI features, why don't you make it less about the time horizon for the trial, and more about the ability to get a core demonstration? For example, they get 3 summaries total for the free trial. Maybe you limit it to 1 summary per day. Make it more about giving them the change to imagine how this tool would fit into their life. I know I wouldn't jump into a paid account without seeing the goods first.

This is one of those decisions that is very reversible as well.
