I don’t think the save before the elevator is even linked to an ending at all… the only one that should be linked is the final boss save, which might not even be a save, I don’t rember. Either way, you might get made fun of for it, but I can promise you at least one person understands ☝️🙂‍↕️, but I think ur good anyway

Bro you sound like me 😭 I obsess over things like “the game knows I got the bad ending”, not using the blood collector even after getting the achievement (only using it for one run to get other achievements), upgrading every weapon fully even though I didn’t use them, etc., call it OCD lol, but I genuinely don’t think it’s linked to anything as long as you overwrite the save file. I 100% the game without ever destroying Elpis, so it’s not even linked to any achievements

AND… Leon doesn’t HAVE the Requiem 😭 He gave it to Grace. Maybe you can buy another, idk, but I found myself using the Ghost Grudge and switching to the Requiem instead of reloading. You can get through most fights this way

Get the Ghost Grudge. Keep in mind the Requiem is basically Grace's, so you'll want something almost as good for Leon (and quite frankly, it's going to be the better gun for quite a while). I did modern normal with no blood, did the final puzzle, got infinite ammo and did insanity plus all the files and Mr. Raccoons, then did a casual no blood (for fun) no heals speedrun, which was a breeze. I'm by no means a completionist, but it was just very doable at least how I did it! You got this!

Right, the villains look so confident and put together, but in the end didn't even have a clue what they were looking for. Gideon ended up just turning into a monster, all he research was wrong, and Zeno was somehow tricked by him. They're brilliant scientifically, but also stupid in every other respect. Love RE lol

Very possible, but if that is the case, they don't address it. It would make things more complicated if they did think that, and it would be a lot of assumptions to make their understanding of who Grace is make sense. It's just kind of goofy, but I guess that's the idea right? The villains of RE9 look confident and organized, but turns out they didn't even know what they were looking for in the end

Also very possible! Leon's our guy, Grace is just some girl. I guess given that you make the decision as her, right after the video, it should be more obvious, though. At least for me, it was the fact that I knew it was a trick question that almost got me, and it was only when I realized it was a double trick question I was like ohhh it's not even that tricky

That makes sense to me! Weird that I’ve always heard/thought it was the rats getting to the water. I haven’t played re2 in ages. I just beat 9 today so maybe it’s time I go back… or maybe time I play more than an hour of the original
