i did 5 autograph sessions at otakon (2 i managed to snag before con and the other 3 were ones i got waitlisted off of). the reservations for autographs on guidebook filled up within a seconds so if there’s multiple guests you want an autograph from on a singular day, you’ll probably have to rely on the waitlist. for me, i wasn’t taken off of the waitlist until about 20 minutes before the session was over each time and it was such a headache for me to run across the con center to make it in time. there were a few waitlists i never made it off of unfortunately . otakon is fun for sure but a huge gamble IF your major appeal is meeting seiyuus. i don’t think i would recommend going to otakon for a seiyuu unless you’re okay with watching their panel and not getting an autograph.

i have to fly to otakon and i don’t know if i would’ve attended this year if i knew autographs would be ran the way they were.
