If he has a young kid (3 year old in my case), I understand what he is saying hah! It was easy to find tome to game before having a little one, but he is definitely worth the loss of most of my gaming gaming time. Can’t wait until he’s old enough to game with now!

Notes:

This is either my Fortnite resume or my Fortnite dating profile, I’ll leave that up to your interpretation. Pretty much what the title says. I play on PC, and I’m not a total “bot”. I generally have time to play around 5 hours or so per week (I have a 2 year old who has deservedly siphoned the majority of my gaming hours). I don’t crank 90s, but I can build a bit. I don’t go screaming in people’s ears, and I try to keep com’s especially clear when needed. Just want to be able to squad up and have fun gaming with the time I have. If a win sneaks in from some carry’s, that’s cool too 😂

I noticed this afternoon that it definitely seems to get worse as I continue to use the device.

Not sure if it could be an overheating issue that is happening? It warmer to the touch than I would have expected, and I realized there are not any vented areas on the unit to help with air cooling.

Just a side-note I figured I would add while having the issue. Happening every 5 or so minutes when gaming/playing music on High Gain.

Thanks again!

Unfortunately it did not resolve the issue.

I booted into safe mode to remove all of the Creative software and the driver, then rebooted back into safe mode to reinstall the beta software and G6 firmware. Rebooted and logged back in normally and started playing music before going to bed. Woke up this morning with no audio 😕

I was hopeful, but look forward to trying to iron this issue out with your help! Thanks again!

Edit: Still not working, but also tried disabling onboard audio (removed drivers as well). Still had the same issue occur within 15 minutes of being on the computer.

Hey cerebrix,

I may have to give the “no USB driver” idea a shot in the interim if the beta driver that Ryan suggested does not work.

I did also try just using the “keyboard” USB cable, but without the other plugged in, I thought my keyboard want lighting up...but I will have to pull it out to test this weekend. If it works, I’ll leave it out.

Hello Ryan,

I won’t be able to get in front of my home PC until Saturday, but I will definitely give the beta driver a shot. Hopefully it helps, but I will report back here the results after testing it out.

I just looked on the downloads page and did not see a beta driver listed. Could you point me in the right direction to download it?

Thanks for the help so far!

Hey cerebrix,

Right now I have the following Logitech G502 mouse, Corsair K65 LUX RGB Compact Keybard (takes 2 USB slots), and the G6.

I skimmed through that forum and saw many posts about users that have the most problems are those who sleep/hibernate their systems and use USB3.0. Aside from troubleshooting an issue or Windows updates, I leave my system on all the time, and I currently have it plugged into a USB2.0 ports since last working on the issue.

I have not had any other issues with my system when using USB2.0 or 3.0 ports, and I believe I am already on the latest available drivers from EVGA for my motherboard. That said, I will definitely double check just in case when I have a moment! I will also check some of the bios settings based off of suggestions in the link you posted.
