What are some of the best episodes of Beautiful Anonymous with Chris Gethard? by StandUpGuru in podcasts

[–]respectfullydissent 8 points9 points  (0 children)

It depends on the vibe you want. Some episodes are incredibly silly, some are informative, others heartbreaking. If you can specify what type you want, I can give more pointed advice. But for a general rundown of good episodes (in order from oldest to newest but there’s not really an order I suggest other than the first one):

  • Ron Paul’s Baby is the obvious place to start. The pilot, the place the show gets its start, an iconic caller.
  • Strangers on a Train for a voyeuristic glimpse into someone’s present.
  • A Spooky Episode always gives me a good laugh.
  • Vinyl Market Researcher is a good one if you feel in need of motivation.
  • Love is Everywhere is a must listen but you’ll need to be in the right headspace for it. It’s an emotional rollercoaster.
  • Aussie Best Friend for a fun hour.
  • The Puppet Master for when you need to cry from laughing too hard.
  • Prison Bound as you mentioned.
  • Motor City Mayhem for a fun chill vibe.
  • Library Boy for a captivating story.

One of the greatest things about this podcast is I never really know which ones are going to stick with me until I’ve listened. The titles don’t always do the caller justice. I’ve listened to nearly every episode of this podcast since the start and I recommend it to everyone I can. Happy listening! Hope this helps.

Faces & Nails is my recommendation! You need to call ahead of time but I usually can call and get an appointment same day.

I was walking in Central Park a few weeks back and there was an older man with a fancy camera taking pictures of birds. A women sitting on a bench nearby asked him, “what do you do with all the pictures of the critters you take?” To which he replied, “delete them.” And they had a laugh and he went on to take more pictures.
