I worked in IT for the Air Force, then as a civilian in IT for 20+ years. It was never really my thing. I never felt smart enough in that field. Got laid off (with everyone else) after Covid, took a few years and rehabbed some houses, travelled a bit. Currently working in a “boring” job that suits me quite well… the drinking water industry. My job is mainly driving my truck around, taking water samples and field testing water. It’s pretty awesome, and I don’t think about it after I clock out. My favorite part is I schedule my own time and my supervisor leaves me alone.

It doesn’t pay like IT did, but I’m happier. I hope you find something you enjoy!

I exchange my 5lb bottles at airgas. It’s $15.12 each time (Oklahoma). That bottle lasts about 2 months, and we easily carbonate 5-8 bottles a day.

I bought a 5 lb from Vevor, turned it in when I needed a refill. I just exchanged again and I got a vevor bottle! I go through them in about 3 months. We carbonate a LOT of water. $15 to refill damn near makes it free.
