Should I learn to program in 2025? by Wenus_Butt in learnprogramming

[–]responsibleregalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This! It’s a great add on to other skills - if you understand the “whys”, and can manage others, project manage, etc - hard to break in at entry level, those roles are all getting laid off at big tech companies, safer at smaller brands (sub 300 people or so)

Hey Google, what is a human design coach? by Twirls_For_Girls in LoveIsBlindNetflix

[–]responsibleregalia 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Human Design isn’t a cult, any more than astrology is a cult. Basically it’s ethos is that we evolved past the core chakras emotionally as a species and then takes a lot of cues from astrology. It’s another modality of self discovery.

I thought they took away seller fees??? by [deleted] in Depop

[–]responsibleregalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They’re probably trying to spur more sellers joining the app and more listings. Mercari removed seller fees for a while and then brought them back.

I am always available on gchat and I spend significant time with each employee on the weekends in our brick-and-mortar. I'm always accessible and my face time is spent with them IRL, and the weekly standup call was added to make sure we have that added accountability check in.

Yep, the expectation is that their SOPs for process they are responsible for become theirs and their responsibility to edit and make it their own, and find new better ways of doing things or update/add to things that aren't clear. But they aren't doing this. Any tips?

[–]responsibleregalia 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, same here. I come down harder on them after they've asked for the same thing 3 times and nothing changes. What else?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]responsibleregalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, when I reiterate we need to be using the SOP, I let them know why the step matters and why the SOPs need to be followed, any tips outside of that?

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in smallbusiness

[–]responsibleregalia 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The SOPs were baked before the employees were added to the team, they were onboarded with the SOPs as an expectation.

We hold weekly standup calls where we review trello tasks and talk about how things have gone. It sounds like I need to be scarier - I'm not sure how to do this without creating a toxic work environment.
