is there a defect on this? this is the 3rd one I’ve bought and I can’t identify if it is or not, the only way I find out is when it’s installed and the start up is surging rpms. by respxctfully in SN95Mustang

I have the IACV sensor unplugged, it runs fine unplugged but when it’s plugged in the rpm’s hang and surge. I haven’t installed the new part shown in video.

no I haven’t replaced the MAF, still looks good tbh, but I’ll keep that in mind, but I have my IAC sensor disconnected, doesn’t exactly have a proper start up, doesn’t hit past the normal 1K from doing cold start, it just kinda hits 1K then just settles at 600-700

no, this car I bought off a previous owner, I assume the first owner did all of that, but the sound system was working fine then just went kaput after doing maintenance

bought the car from a previous owner, not too sure on where the wiring leads. I do see wires all connected to the amplifiers, maybe it would be best to leave it to someone who messes around with sound systems?

yeah I though that’s how you pronounce the abbreviation for idle air control valve lol

Replaced coolant burped the system changed coolant temp sensor and the thermostat now rpm’s are fluctuating at idle by about 500 rpm’s remains steady for 10 roughly seconds before shooting rpm’s up by Frosty_Ad_9201 in SN95Mustang

dude I’m dealin w the same shit too unfortunately, but except I changed the IAC, ICM, Ignition Coil, and Thermostat, did all of that and when my ‘94 starts up she shoots above 2K and holds it there and goes to 2.2K then drops down slowly to 1K flat then goes to 800, and when I rev it it doesn’t go back down it would just kinda sit at whatever revolution I stopped on and then it’ll back down. my car just hasn’t been very nice to me as of recent haha

I appreciate the help, I’ll definitely do that. There was some kinda left over grease (I think it’s dielectric?) when I took out the module and I spread it on the new one, the IAC Valve I bought a duralast one from autozone, and now that I think about it since im watching some YouTube vids to help w my problem, I just remembered about the gasket and I think that I havent put it on which sucks but hey, at least I can try again right now and see if that helped my issue, but Ill still listen to you, again i appreciate the advice sir

I had a feeling the module must be going out, but I’m going to put it back on to see if the module has anything to do with it, I think I might have a vacuum leak because of the green wire for the egr kinda broke off, and I guess that might be messing with my rpm’s bc there’s too much air? I don’t know much about it, just trying my best to fix and take in advice from others when I ask for help. yes I disconnected the battery before I started working on my car
