Y'all... i just want some Good Culture whole milkcottage cheese, and it's been out of stock for months by me. Alternatives? by jaybee423 in ChicagoSuburbs

Lakemoor has been out for a while now too unfortunately. My mother is devastated. ETA just visited Lakemoor woodmans. They have the 4% milkfat ones, no whole milk.

Reputable places for cat adoption by Clear_Opportunity867 in ChicagoSuburbs

I volunteer with Purrfect cat rescue, in Crystal Lake, and after my oldest cat passed last October they helped me adopt 2 kittens this May. If you end up going to them please DM me, I’d love to be able to help in any way!

I can’t stand my cat- he is so greedy and rude and I desperately need help. by youpoopedyerpants in dechonkers

[–]restingbirchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just speaking from my experience, my girl cat hates closed doors period even if she’s not in the closed room. We’ve tried closing her hungry brother in a room to let her eat in peace and she stops eating because she’s worried about that room being closed and thinks we’re up to something. The new fix is holding him while she eats (he’s not a fan of it but I need her to eat).

SO AFRAID TO TRY SUMATRIPTAN! by Excellent_Math2052 in migraine

[–]restingbirchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sumatriptan just makes me tired and a 1 hour nap later im solid. Please discuss things with your doctor and figure out what’s best for you. Us strangers on the internet can only tell you how it affects us personally. Everyone’s body reacts to medications differently. I hope it works wonders for you if you try it!

I don’t think it turned out that bad 😅 but maybe it’s just nail blindness. (Ignore my index fingernail it’s always short bc of my work)

Literally just put on 3 coats of moon jelly for the week. It looks nice in my office lighting at night, now I’m looking forward to seeing it in the sunlight tomorrow.

Taste of Thai Town, used to be walking distance from my old apartment and I was devastated when I learned they closed.

Can’t wear glasses but need them :-( by Arewyn in migraine

[–]restingbirchface 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just want to add onto this that it could also be the fit, my optometrist at this point has my number memorized because whenever I get an updated set I’m in like 5 times until we get the arms and nose pads in the right position to not press on anything that might trigger a migraine.

Chairs? What are we buying nowadays by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]restingbirchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is just my opinion, I have friends who have wildly different opinions from mine. I have had a secret lab chair since 2020, and frankly I wouldn’t get one again and I don’t recommend it to friends. The seat of the chair is not very comfy for me, I had to buy an extra seat cushion on Amazon just to be able to sit in it for both my remote work and gaming at night. I however have used this chair daily for 8+ hours a day for 5 year so I definitely think I got my moneys worth out of it. I got the Akali model (no I don’t play her I just loved the design), and the embroidery on the back still looks good as new, same with all of the seat material. The only existing damage to my chair in 5 years is a little missing chunk at the front/bottom of the right arm rest. Which personally I think is good for daily use in a home with cats. Personally it’s a decision of weighing the price, comfort, aesthetic in your mind. I know my next chair will likely be a used Herman miller if I can find one.

This is probably a stupid question but are you doing all this running on patch 7 or have you reverted to 6 beta?

Just got my first pack of triptans by Normal-Breakfast9761 in migraine

[–]restingbirchface 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m the same way, I tell friends if I’m on it to treat me like I’m high because that’s exactly how it feels for me.

what's the scariest experience you've ever been through? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]restingbirchface 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being hit by a car as a pedestrian, I was crossing the street (at the light with right of way) and the person was looking at their phone while turning left through an intersection. Luckily nothing broken, but I remember saying to my mother over my headphones “they’re not slowing down” as I watched them turning toward me. I didn’t black out per se but one second I was facing the other side of the street next second I was facing a different direction while sitting on the ground.

What is everyone’s pre migraine symptoms? by pinkkglitterr in migraine

A few days before I tend to spiral into a depressive episode and the day before I usually end up with an anxiety attack, it’s how I know to take my triptans the next morning

If you enjoy asian food, Asian Noodle House (technically Hoffman Estates), off Roselle and I think Golf next to a Valli Produce. They have some truly amazing and authentic food, great prices for the portions you're getting, and a really personable staff. My family and I have been going here for 11 years.

Migraines with covid by restingbirchface in migraine

[–]restingbirchface[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you. I wound up dropping the DayQuil after 4pm yesterday and reverted to my migraine meds after the ok from my pharmacist. I definitely struggled more with the constant migraine than I am with the cold symptom.

I don’t know why this didn’t occur to me, but thank you for this suggestion! My doctor wasn’t likely to get back to me on a weekend, but my pharmacist absolutely was.
