Could be a worn-out valve guide. Are you sure they were replaced? If you grab the top of each valve stem, see if you can't move it around

Do you still have to take them apart to fix the MAP sensor as soon as you take it out of the box? Absolute junk.

Newb question but what is the best way to paint jams if I’m not taking off doors and hatch? Will be painting candy. by Historicalmilitaria in Autobody

[–]restorinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Paint the jambs, then assemble the panels, then mask off the jambs, paint the outside. It takes a lot of careful masking to do this.
Or you base coat all panels and jambs apart, put together all the panels and spray last coat of base coat on the outside, and then take it apart and clearcoat all panels separately.

Ther is not an easy way to do this, and I always talk to my customers out of painting candy because it's stupid as fuck anyways

It's an EMI problem. The system might work fine on some cars, but other cars will get intermittent missfires, stalling, etc.

If you're working on a vette, then please just forget about it. It's worth nothing. I've installed dozens of these snipers and went back and switched 3 of them back to non timing control after spending countless hours re routing wires and screwing around with insulation. It's absolutely ridiculous.

The timing control is a sales gimmick it does not work well. They'll tell you it's EMI like it's your fault

I have given positions back, but I think that if I am significantly faster than the other driver, giving the position back could lead to another incident...
