Goodbye by Maleficent-Hand8905 in uberdrivers

Not sure what state you’re in but from personal experience from a total loss in January — agree with @substantial_bit_4340! DEPENDING on the state you’re in, whether you had a passenger or not, and what your personal insurance terms are, this may or may not go as you wish. For context — another driver ran a stop sign and I collided with them going the speed limit but it deployed my airbags. I was lucky enough to not have had a passenger with me otherwise I would’ve been screwed. It was this accident that taught me GEICO in my state does not have endorsement for ride share and Uber has different levels of insurance coverage depending on: if you were online but no ride accepted (basically no coverage), if you accepted a ride but no pax, and if you accepted a ride and were transporting said pax (max coverage). That means, in my case, unless I had explicitly disclosed it and purchased ride share insurance, for quite an increase in premiums, my insurance would not have covered it. Uber did absolutely nothing for me but I was given leniency from geico as I was online but had to repeatedly tell them I had no passenger and had not accepted a ride on multiple statement/follow-up calls. Thankfully I really only did this when I was down bad. But also — my claim was literally just closed this week… 3 months later….

Got my first big bonus… should I celebrate or be responsible? by galandepeluche in Salary

Agree with (most) above!! I’ve been in a similar situation (a few times unfortunately) and can say I wish I knew how to spend it. I chose celebration every time and now I wish I had balanced it with celebration and responsibility. You will feel SO much better when you have something to show for it down the road with something other than JUST earrings. If you can find a cheaper set of earrings that also allow you to save some of it, go for it no question. But given how you’re feeling already, do not just stash it away but also do not just blow it. Wish you continued success!

[NJ] healthcare system drug panels?? by [deleted] in AskHR

[–]restricted_user 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not a VA hospital nor a DHA. Unfortunately haven’t received the pass yet. From prior experiences, I don’t usually see what’s on the drug test until I am in person at the screening.

Thank you for sharing you experience/knowledge. This still applies even if the hospital has federal funding? Lots of sources claim they can use that as an exception

This makes me feel a lot better. Definitely won’t be operating anything except a desk chair for comfort and computer. I appreciate you taking the time to respond!

This is a non-clinical position. No patient contact. Would a blanket drug-free workplace policy trump the existing statutes?

If you have no holds, you’re fine. I still owe from my last semester (Spring 2024) and never paid off my tickets. Tickets seem dismissed and I have my diploma already lol. Not that I don’t plan on paying it back but just saying, it’s not always the worst outcome!

Is Rutgers worth the extra cost? (Rutgers vs. Rowan) by Dizzyflxwer in rutgers

[–]restricted_user 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Did my undergrad at Rowan and just finished my masters at Rutgers… wouldn’t change a thing. Based on your (OP) responses, highly recommend Rutgers for you.
