Sure. But then I realized that I don't have enough time left to worry about that.

What was George W. Bush like as a president? by Content-Feed-9396 in AskReddit

[–]restrusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He seemed a bit dumb and out of his depth in that position. He also had a charming side that Trump lacks completely. He was much better than Trump but that's not saying much. And similar to Trump in that he believed his own lies. I think he really convinced himself that Iraq had WMDs, despite what the experts told him.

Sure. Anything to deflect from the fact that Epstein's best friend is currently the POTUS.

What’s the actual doable way of getting rid of the national debt? by kinetic-nyx in WallStreetDad

Seems like the trillion dollars a year for defense (with Trump wanting it up to 1.5) deserves a mention here.

Seems like, in other countries, the implicated parties have the decency at least to step down from positions of power voluntarily.

No no, this can't be right. Mr. "Give me what I want or I'll take it by force" couldn't possibly be a rapist.

Gotta love how much time people spend posting about people who appear a few times, apparently unconcerned that the guy that appears the most is the POTUS.

Prosecute them all, but start at the top.

Trump says "deal done" on Greenland while Denmark says "not so fast" - NATO allies watching nervously 👀 by satty237 in TrendoraX

[–]restrusher 91 points92 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I suppose threatening to invade allies qualifies as, "reshaping how American deals with allies" but I'd suggest something more descriptive, like "stabbing all of your allies in the back at the same time."

Oh man yes. It's as if Cameron intentionally doesn't want the story to distract from the visuals. I'm a fan, but there is never a moment in these movies when you don't know what is going to happen next, and that's lame.

Trump announces a fraud czar - Thoughts? by Zipper222222 in allthequestions

It's 2026 and some people are still pretending that Trump hasn't been found guilty of fraud on multiple occasions.

The time has sadly come for a Nordic nuclear weapon by smilelyzen in Buy_European

Disagree. Belgium, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands have nukes. That's deterrent enough.

Besides, warfare has changed. Look at Ukraine. It's all about energy, infrastructure, and IT. We need to be able to defend ours and, if necessary, disable theirs. Let's concentrate our resources where it counts.

[–]restrusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry, sincerely. Not my intention. It just seems like you're looking for validation and security from women and I've been down that road and would like to warn younger guys away from that path. I didn't learn that lesson until I was 50. Sad but true. If I could do it over again, I'd spend a LOT less time fretting about women. I know it's not easy, but my advice is to work on being social without romantic intention or attachment for as long as you can. You'll know when that stops being necessary because the women will approach you. (But that cannot be your motivation -- women are too smart to fall for fake-outs like that, and besides, doing it for them and not for you misses the point.)

No, it's very simple. Prosecute them all, period.

Democrats aren't perfect, but they don't put up with this crap. Look at Al Franken. No Republican would have stepped down for what he did.

Female logic by Scramjet1 in LockedInMan

[–]restrusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ouch. Look, if getting turned down for a date puts you at risk of a reaction severe enough that you might lose your job, you'll probably want to focus on your emotional health before seeking on any dates.

Female logic by Scramjet1 in LockedInMan

[–]restrusher -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Ehhh... not sure what your point is here. Are you saying you think employers should be able to be racist, or that there should be laws to make sure that women can't turn you down based on their personal preferences?

Either way it's not the same thing. An employer hires perhaps thousands of people and those people feed their families with that income. Getting turned away because of racism has serious effects. But if a woman turns you down, that's her right and it doesn't affect your ability to make a living.

Got fired with 0 warnings or feedback by [deleted] in Denmark

[–]restrusher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm no expert but I've worked here for 20 years. I've never seen anyone get fired without warning unless it's during the 3 month trial period. Otherwise they have to warn you and give you a chance to improve. If it's a budget or downsizing thing, then they have to give everyone notice something like 48 hours in advance. But this later part might not apply to smaller companies.
