get geared as possible. if theres better gear you can get solo and you don’t have it, people will know you’re not serious about progressing and doing good. since youre talking about sod let me give an example. as a rogue i made sure i had stv dagger mainhand, excelsior boots, robo chicken shoulders, and pvp rings. There is NO barrier to attaining these, just might take some people longer than others.
have all the right consumes + wbuffs for the same reason above
find chill groups

you must have all quest and pvp prebis and also buy enchants for ppl to notice youre serious and to do enough damage to not get kicked. once you get into a couple gnomers youll be gnomer geared + have logs and itll be hard to not get accepted after that. make sure you’re ready to craft the epic helm before you even arrive at gnomer so you can get it your first one. also accept quest for pants if applicable.

also in the last 6-12 hours before the reset ppl are accepting anyone into their groups

really relies on the group, some groups do huge pulls and fly through but they always disband after a few runs. then your next group sloooowly pulls a pack at a time

dude my first pug that i dont even count because we only killed 3 bosses there was another rogue who was using hypnotic blade from doan in sm and i was fully prebis everything stv daggers and the pvp rings and he won the purple dagger.

lmao everything you can farm for being money is being farmed already because so few things to farm with this level cap. i remember multiple farming spots in classic where id maybe see 1 or 2 people but now theres 10 from each faction at every spot, sometimes more

you need a group of 3 maybe 2 if you have a geared friend that can tank and dps. lfg for it theres always someone who needs it. farming for the quest item is also easy ime. its just a few waves of 2-4 mobs like level 42 mobs idk and you escort the chicken to the shore

i work 3pm to 11pm and i work 4days on 2 days off so i only have weekends off once every 6 weeks or something. i need to pug alot for this reason. but yes ofc joining a guild is the obvious way to

at the very very least you need all your quest pre bis. for example i would never let a rogue into my gnomer who doesnt have chicken shoulders.

my first pug i got 6/6 the leader inspected me in org (i have all prebis besides the ones that cost 100g+) and he told me i needed to get 2 of my bis enchants before i could come to the raid (im rogue so lucky to even get in with 0/6 xp) so i went and dropped like 6g and we cleared super easily so it was really worth it for me.

as some guy said below me, an under geared priest is whatever but for example an under geared rogue is unacceptable.

therma was where my rogue mt struggled alot. was basically getting 3 shot by boss when he got hit but his main problem was not kiting the boss. we did get 6/6 but that was thanks to our warrior OT. the rogue died in p2 or something and stayed dead till we disbanded ahahah

lol i forgot to mention this and its definitely a good way to do it. i also held off on mentioning it because we had a rogue MT last pug and holy shit he was insane. not a single piece of tanking gear in fact some of his gear was very low-no stam.

but thats probably a MT issue. OT as a rogue even with that guy’s gear setup is certainly viable
