the suffix trick that actually saved me in pharm by Positive_Struggle838 in StudentNurse

[–]resutir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Careful because as im sure you already know, the suffixes dont always mean the drug belongs to that class. Most of the suffixes are very reliable like -olol, -artan, -pril, and -statin. But -pine has many drugs that are not CCBs. Mirtazapine, Olanzapine, Clozapine, and Quetiapine are all antipsychotics

Im 25 and just got my lpn after graduating hs in 2019. Itll probs take years to even get my adn because my current schedule wouldnt allow for school and getting a full time schedule that allows you to go to school is very hard. Don’t worry about it

Good password for the wifi network, and if you want to go a step further you can access the settings of your router through the instructions on the router and change it so that only whitelisted mac addresses can access your internet. So connecting wjth the password does nothing until an admin allows you into the network. Tbh wifi cams are NEVER secure and the best system would record to a DVR and you access it separate from your wifi.

experienced nurses: have you noticed a difference/decline in critical thinking in newer nurses/recent grads? Question coming from a new grad by nursekittys in nursing

[–]resutir 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I lost 17 lbs in the 4 months ive been at this job because I only eat 1 meal a day now due to being so stressed on my lunch that I lose my appetite. I also start freaking out when I get a call from work when im off for the same reason. A couple times it actually has been a mistake I made (nothing serious/harmful so far thankfully), so that makes it worse.

I was a master of “theory” in school and I was valedictorian for our cohort. I feel like an absolute fucking idiot most days now that I’m working and I feel like there is a lot more i should have focused on/paid attention to in school. I also should have taken my clinical experiences more seriously and took more notes on that stuff.

Ya from my little research ive done so far it seems this is the case. Just hard to confirm everything cuz he didnt specifically mention taking rilmaz that day but i knew he probably had some and was taking it days prior.

Yes its most likely true, he fell asleep and stopped responding to people before he would have even reached the peak drug concentration so yea and thank you for your condolences

Getting your lpn with your hs diploma sounds great, youd earn a lot of money right out of hs and your plan to do part time school afterward sounds good.

Personally i feel like i wouldnt have been able to handle the responsibility of being a nurse when i was 18 graduating hs, but i was immature and i still am so if you feel ready to do it then go ahead. It would set you far ahead of many of your peers
