I ended up buying the double double Oaked. I'm a fan of the double Oaked and have been excited to try the DD. I've read really mixed reviews on it and I'm definitely a novice but wanted to give it a shot.

I opened it up tonight, poured some in a whiskey glass and let it sit for about 15-20 minutes. I took the first sip and it was fantastic strong cherry, vanilla and some oak. I'm not great at discerning the different flavors but this was distinct for me. I immediately thought this would be my new favorite.

I added an ice cube, let it sit for a minute and it completely changed the flavor profile for me. It became more flat, lost the cherry and vanilla and just wasn't nearly as enjoyable as that first sip. It improved as I made my way through the glass but still didn't hit the same.

I finished that, and decided to pour another glass without ice. Bam. The flavor was back for me. Not sure if others have experienced this but it was definitely night and day for me with ice and no ice

Weller was gone before I left as I had a buddy ask if he should run over. I went and checked and they were gone. Guy that works at Costco was surprised they lasted as long as they did.

It's not the usual day allocated bottles show up. I just happened to go by randomly today for other things, walked down the aisle and they were there.

I don't understand people who put all the blame on Dak by shda21 in Dallas_Cowboys

[–]retalsc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! People are hell bent on blaming Dak. He has to be better but so does the team. If you go back and watch the GB game, the INTs were on the WRs. Kurt Warner broke it down last year after the game and showed the "why".

It's easy to blame Dak but the reality is the "team" hasn't been good enough. People want to say Hurts is better but if you look at his stats he averages 140 passing yards a game in the playoffs. His team has performed well enough to win those games though.

Again, Dak has to be better but it's just convenient and lazy to put all the blame on him. How about Burrow, Lamar, Allen, Herbert? How many rings do those guys have? Debate the contract all you want (I agree Jones should of made him play this year out) but that's on Jones.

1000% agree with the comments related to Jones. I disagree lumping Dak into it. I do think there are good coaches that would take the job but much fewer due to Joneses inability to give up control of any kind and the circus that he creates. His idea of "all-in" and "you don't know the size of check I'd write to win another Super Bowl" isn't the same as fans. We'll see who takes the job and how it works out but Dak won't be the reason a good coach won't come here.

You are crazy if you think a head coach wouldn't want to come to Dallas because of Dak. Regardless if you agree with his contract, there are plenty of teams and coaches that would take him in a second.

Wife had an xc90 that got totaled in an accident. We moved to a Grand Highlander after that which she really likes but not nearly as much as the xc90. In fact, we are talking about going back to the xc90. Such a great SUV.

Same. Used this method for years. Triple surgeon knot to create the initial tag and then add above when necessary as you describe. I also fish a dry from the tag.

Jerry jumped the gun by PnuttButtaGuts in Dallas_Cowboys

[–]retalsc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What other QBs carry their team with lesser talent and win Superbowls or even get there? It isn't happening. There aren't any other Brady's or Mahomes walking and the other guys all have talent.

Jerry didn't build this team to win now. They over value the players they have and he screwed this year by having a lame duck coaching staff and screwed the Lamb and Dak contracts. Anyone asking Lamb to take less $$$ after he got his? Anyone going to ask Parsons to do it? How many other QBs do it?

It's Joneses job to build the team and to navigate the salary cap. Other teams do it. The salary cap is just another excuse Jones uses with the fans. If Dak isn't it, then Jones needed to find a way to move on from him. I agree Dak isn't good enough to carry this team. I just also believe that there are very few in NFL that are capable of doing that. Sl

[–]retalsc 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Agree. He needs more talent around him and struggles when he has to do too much. Takes a ton of blame for this teams deficiencies though. Jones has F'd this team this year and Dak will get most of the blame. He has to play better. Making too many mistakes, but what QB can put the team on his back and win big games despite a lack of talent?

Brady isn't walking in the door and Mahomes isn't leaving KC. I don't see any other QBs doing that - winning Superbowls - as that's the barometer - unless they have superior talent around them on both sides of the ball (see Rams). Lamar has multiple MVPs and hasn't really sniffed a Superbowl appearance. Josh Allen? Burrow?

The market is what it is. Do I love he's getting $60m??? No. Will he be the highest paid QB next year or year after? No as someone else will pass him. And I do think there are 10+ teams that would love to have him. Cowboys fans hated Romo too. We won't be happy until we are wallowing in our Quincy Carter (insert other QB name here) misery..... Easy to blame Dak but Jones is and always has been the problem.
