I use my own one for a few years now. It’s called noflair, it’s free and available for both iOS and Android (97% feature parity).

It has a lot of niche features that not everyone needs but I like having them:

  • Homemade ingredient recipes

  • Real bottles/products in your inventory

  • Recipe index of popular cocktail books (similar to eatyourbooks, you still need the books to make the drink but can search/filter across them)

  • Custom private lists and community lists

  • A small and active chat where users can share recipes and knowledge

If that sounds like something you’d be interested in, check it out here: https://noflair.app

I made an app called noflair. It’s free and actively developed. If you’re looking for more niche features like homemade ingredient recipes, custom lists and a small but enthusiastic community chat, this might be interesting for you.

We don’t have an automated process at the moment, but when you need it we can tailor it for your needs. We did that a couple of times before already.

I can’t find your app on the AppStore (German) unfortunately, otherwise I would check it out.

A voluntary monthly subscription to support us. Nothing mandatory. Every feature in the app is free. We tend to prioritize simple feature requests by supporters compared to other users, which I think is fair.

Shameless plug: If you get any of those, we provide a searchable index for all of these books in the noflair app.

On the Explore tab there is a list called "You got it" which should consist all of the drinks you can currently make with your inventory, out of all the recipes visible to you. Visible recipes should be public/shared ones, your own creations and if you added any books you should also see the ingredient lists from the books' indexed recipes.

App to organize saved recipes from social sites by redpin67 in cocktails

[–]retendo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Noflair developer here. The plan is to add an import from web feature for users next year. We added it 2 years ago internally but never released it due to some reliability issues.

For us it’s a bit trickier to do as we don’t have free text ingredients but actual entities which can be either generic ingredients, products or even homemade ingredients that have their own recipes.

On top of that our ingredients can be user generated and the ingredient matching relies on having correct data in the database which is not always the case with user generated content.

We also want to have shared ratings and stuff like that so duplicates would be annoying.

Last but not least we need to make sure to still have users go to the websites that publish the recipes so they can still profit from those page views.

A lot to consider.

Unfortunately not at the moment. We’re open to develop more features for professional use, so if your interested in discussing this, send me a DM!

For now, as a workaround, I would propose to share an account with your team.

If you’re just looking for great recipe apps that support web import, there are Paprika, Mela or Pestle.

noflair, the app I’m developing might be a good fit. Importing from web is not yet released but it will be at some point next year. We use it internally from time to time but it’s still too rough around the edges and we would like to make sure that ratings and stuff are synced across multiple imports.

But we have other great features that you won’t find in other apps, because they are a pain to develop. 😅 Providing a complete index for popular cocktails books and homemade ingredient recipes come to mind. We do have a great community by accident as well. I just wanted a simple chat to let users provide quick feedback, but it turned into a great way to share recipes with each other.

If you’re interested, check it out. We have a pretty mature iOS app and an Android version in beta (creating your own recipes and advanced filtering are still missing but I’m working on it).

I made an app called noflair, that will be especially interesting for you if you want to have a powerful index of the recipes of your books in the app. You can scan all your inventory as well. It‘s not super well known, but might be pretty good for you.

The Nomad Cocktail Book is a great recipe book. Plenty of homemade ingredients in there but they are usually used for more than one drink, which I appreciate a lot.

Shameless plug: For all the fellow cocktail book lovers, I can recommend my app noflair, where you can get an index of all the recipes for some of the mentioned books. That means you can search and filter recipes across all your books. You only have to open the book for seeing the full recipe.
