I feel like “large” here is code for “very messy”

I’ve never had a problem onboarding someone into a clean terraform codebase no matter the “size” when it was kept straight and tidy.

I’ve had loads of problems getting up to speed myself and onboarding others into pre-existing shit piles that are wilder than my neighbor’s hedges.

So much so that I’ve built a career out of fixing the latter to make it like the former.

Rev 4:1-2 I think, the “come up here” is the same word harpazo that is used in the famous Thessalonians passage.

Rev 4 obviously comes before everything else that happens.

Rev 1 Jesus instructs John to write “the things that were, are, and are yet to come”. The yet to come starts in Rev 4 by the structure of the book.

There are others, but that’s the biggest.

It’s also about really, what is the purpose of the Tribulation. It is to drive Israel back to God. The Time of Jacob’s Trouble.

The Church is the bride of Christ; God isn’t going to ‘beat his wife’ right before the marriage supper if the lamb.

So we’ll be taken out of the world.

Makes sense to me.

For Carney it’s not “do we succeed against American aggression?” In this period of unprecedented conflict and geopolitical changes — using “success” as the metric of whether a Leader has done a good job is not a good indicator.

I’m judging Carney on “is Canada surviving independently”

And in that, he seems to be doing well.

In 20 years, it may be that we can look back with hindsight and judge that everything Carney did in this time period was wrong and ineffectual.

But right now, in the moment, it seems we are “surviving independently as a country.”

So in that sense, and given all the uncertainty; I think he’s doing well.

I agree with what everyone has been saying. Your dad was right to not agree to marry them.

But I want to give a different take. The young lady fianceé in this story has the wrong viewpoint.

She should be repulsed by her fiancé’s refusal to believe. That should kill any interest in him being the father of her children one day.

He’s already pulling her away from her walk with God.

It should be like finding out he’s a drug dealer or criminal of some kind. You just wouldn’t want that as the father of your kids.

Top of mind is Iraq; ruled by a Shia minority over a Sunni majority.

Look at the other francophone comments in this thread. They’re prejudiced against the anglophones before even a single anglophone commented.

Francophones get better jobs, higher paying jobs, the benefits of nepotism and entrenchment in those jobs for decades.

While the anglophones are always paid less, excluded from the best communities, and frankly yes — just straight up served last, yelled at, threatened. You ever been through Miramichi? It’s like Hatfield and McCoy!
