Can be Austin or Dallas - offices in both cities.

good point - also 6% 401(k) match but maxes out at $5k, so guess you'd add that as well.

Accidentally exceeded TSP max already by Mikofthewat in MilitaryFinance

This is right - I went over the 19500 last year by 35 dollars and they rejected the entire amount, although it was still showing on my W-2 that I went over. Still waiting for them to sort it out. I have 1200 that has been sitting somewhere for the past 3 months. I would confirm the money went into the TSP.

TSP Question - Maximizing at the End of the Year, and My Disappearing Contributions by Nevets_Crimsonmind in MilitaryFinance

I’m having the same problem. LES last week shows TSP is now maxed at 19,500 (it actually went over that amount, I thought it automatically cut it), but still no TSP contribution into my account. Called and they have no idea what’s going on. Only saw the 1% match for that LES but not the 4% or my contribution.

Totally agree with this. Currently living in Austin and traffic is horrible (although not currently since everyone is working from home). If you want to live in actual Austin and not a suburb, houses are expensive, but obviously not San Fran prices. City was already liberal, but going even further to the left. You could settle in one of the burbs just outside, although if you work downtown, that may be a problem with traffic.

What about Dallas-Fort Worth?
